The only certainties of life: death and taxes.
Add another certainty: Judgment (Heb 9:27).
The timing of the Judgment Day is uncertain (2 Pet 3:3-10).

DISCUSSION
The Events of the Day of Judgment
Jesus and angels descend with shout and last trump (1 Thess. 4:16)
The dead raised (Jn. 5:28)
The Lord will sit on throne in judgment (Mt. 25:31-33)
The Dead to be given eternal reward (Jn. 5:29); justice or sentence administered (Rev 20:12)
The Living to be given eternal reward (2 Thess. 1:6-9)
Earth and heavens destroyed (2 Pet. 3:10)
The Universality of the Day of Judgment
All (2 Cor 5:10)
“Small and great” (Rev 20:12)
The living and the dead (2 Tim 4:1; ex. Mt 10:15--Sodom and Gomorrah)
None will escape
The Impartiality of the Day of Judgment
Jesus has been appointed Judge (Acts 17:30-31)
He will judge based on His words (Jn 12:48)
He will examine our works (Rev 20:12-14)
The Purpose of the Day of Judgment
Punish the unrighteous (Rom 2:12; Ps 1:4-6)
Vindicate the righteous (Ps 7:9; Rev 6:9-10)
Glorify God (Is 5:16; Rev 14:7; Phil 2:8-11)
Even the dead will receive their eternal punishment or reward at Judgment; they will glorify God.
