25 Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
Question - The psalms are written as poetry, how can we rely on them for knowledge about creation?
11 The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.
Question - Look it up, who is talking, who is being talked to? Are there any alternate possibilities that the Psalm is being talked about? Is this reliable?
Psalm 33:6–9 (ESV)
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses.
Question - Is this a shadow of “The Flood.” Universal or Local flood? Why or why not?
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
Question - Should we be trembling in actual FEAR of the Lord or does it mean something else?
9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
Question - Same question as before. Look it up, who is talking, who is being talked to? Are there any alternate possibilities that the Psalm is being talked about? Is this reliable?
Question - These 4 verses are in a Psalm that speaks of “The Steadfast Love of God.” How do these verses link with the rest of the Psalm? Does that affect its credibility of the Bible?
Question - Can we acknowledge that there are parts of the Creation Theory and of Evolution are both true and credible?
Question:The question every person needs to answer is this: Why not choose the biblical option of creation by God rather than by chance?
------------------------
Whatever your view, when you consider the vast expanses of all that exists around us, we cannot help but consider the following:
The world around us teaches you how finite you really are
Question -How does it teach us the infinity of God and the finite lives we live?
Questions - So “why not” accept the Biblical account of creation?
Psalm 14:1 (ESV)
1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.
The world around us points to God’s existence and your responsibility
Question - What is our responsibility to the world? Aren’t we all just in this for ourselves?
1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,
Every person as a created being must either accept or reject God’s place of authority and man’s responsibility to God.
There is no middle ground, no place for a wait-and-see mentality.
The day is coming when God will judge every person’s response to Him. At that point there will be no excuse for rejecting God.
13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.
Question - This is once again a part of scripture that people dispute frequently. Is is reliable as evidence of God’s handiwork? Why or why not?
The world around us teaches about your relationship to God.
The fact you and all mankind are created by God, not as mere animals but in God’s image, should tell you something about your worth.
Human worth is not based on possessions, achievements, physical characteristics, or nationality.
Instead, it’s based on being made in God’s image.
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Final Extra Credit Question - Respond to the following verse
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
