Knowing and Living What I Believe!
Hebrews 11:1, 6
Why do you believe what you believe? How does what you believe affect the way you live your life?
Because what you believe should affect the way you live. And how you live should reflect what you believe. Without a solid foundation one will not know what to believe and why, and how it should affect their life. This is why we need to start with the Bible.
I. Questions about believing the Bible.
Why believe in the Bible? Why only the 66
books in most Bibles? How is it different from
other religious books? How was the Bible given?
Why was it written? Why should I do what it
says? Aren’t some of the stories make believe?
Isn’t it just a book of do’s and don’ts?
Many of these questions and objections will be answered in the coming messages.
II. Summary statement about the Bible.
The Bible contains 66 books, written by 40
some authors, over a period of 1600 years,
composed with unity, harmony, and a central
purpose and message.
