Some Corinthians denied the Resurrection of Christ.

The Enemy brought
Sin
Corruption (truth, relationships, Creation)
Death

The Enemy brings sin, and sin brings death.

The Great Contradiction

Prosperity in life can produce affliction, while affliction can be transformed for our healing.

When they deny God’s existence and the Power of God they deny their possible transformation.

To deny the Resurrection of Christ is to deny the Power of God to transform us, to Resurrect us from death and brings us into the divine life.

Some turn this denial of the existence of God and the Power of God into an excuse

To, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die,” “You Only Live Once,” or even, “If I am going to hell, at least I will be with my friends.”

Paul warns that “Bad company corrupts good character.”

A statement of human wisdom that existed long before him.

Some deny historical facts because it doesn’t agree with their understanding of the world.

Some deny the fact that someone/something has changed because they have lost all hope in them/it.

When we lose hope, we are no longer faithful in service to a positive outcome.

Paul reasons that faith is useless without the Resurrection.

Because sin came into the world through a human, it will also be restored through a man.

But only an uncorrupted man can save the world from its corruption and death.

Jesus was fully human and fully God.

Preaching is useless if Christ has not been raised from the dead.

Preaching is bearing witness to the Risen Christ & the consequences of his Resurrection.

Christ’s Resurrection is the proof of our future transformation.
Christ’s Resurrection Power consists of
Atonement
Redemption
Liberation
Restoration

Resurrection Power brings transformation that brings us the fullness of divine life.

Christ will return to the world one day, and when he does, he will
have control over all,
all authorities will submit to him, and
all power will be his.
“He has put everything under his feet.” – vs. 27; Psalm 8

“God [will be] all in all.” – vs. 28

The divine is extended to through Christ to all made subject to him.

This is why the Apostles were willing to face death in the face of their belief in the Resurrection.

Paul exhorts them to
“come back to their senses”
“stop sinning”
And stop allowing themselves to be lead by those who do not know the God of Resurrections.

The truth of Christ’s Resurrection is essential for our transformation.

The Blessings of God come to the Least and the Lost.
The Least and Lost are transformed by God’s abundant grace.
Not just through salvation but also through those who know and love him.

The hungry are fed through God’s children.

The mourning are comforted by God’s Spirit & God’s children.

When God’s children are insulted, persecuted, or put to death because of their belief, God Resurrects them.

This why we believe the Good News of Christ’s Resurrection; we will be raised up to meet him.

Included in the Apostle’s Creed for essential belief in Christ
