If you're just joining us, what I want to do or study of Galatians, which is a letter written.
By the Apostle, Paul to the churches of galatia.
And what is now Asia.
Minor were both teachers.
And leaving now.
Away from the one true gospel to a fault.
The help convince the new Believers of the truthfulness of the Gospel that Paul was for claiming he had been going through, trying to prove both his authenticity and the authenticity of the Gospel that he is preaching.
So how Paul at work today?
Let the gospel that he is.
Gospel.
That the apostles,
the only one true gospel in both the apostles in, Paul work.
Preaching that saying gospel, that we picked up this morning.
We're going to see how Clarity and the unity in the gospel is necessary but not enough, as we see how easy it is for our lives to deny the same gospel that we may clearly believe.
And profess.
and understand how that happens if you would this reads like
Both speakers came to Antioch.
I opposed him to his face because he's sick.
For the first before certain men came from James.
He was eating with the Gentiles, but when they came, he drew back and separated himself fearing the circumcision.
And the rest of the Jews, acted hypocritically along with him.
So the even Barnabas was led astray by their Hip Hop.
The truth of the Gospel, I said to see if it's before the mall, if you GG.
Look like a gentile, did not like a Jew.
How can you force the Gentiles to live, like juice?
Sprint.
Bob Evans, we look at passages like this.
It's easy to
Miss the numerous ways that the same sanitation toddler affects us there but Praises, very simply that you would take the holy spirit's power.
When he would take the word that he is made clear here and then he would have pressed on the heart to the speak.
Do we pray for those that need to be encouraged in the gospel this morning, that they would be encouraged that they would remember the gospel.
And I hope that given the situation.
On to those who need to be moved to forgive but pray that you can lick them in their forgiveness, for those that need to be moved to pursue hole in it, fer them on.
And look, for those who have many flaws, which is all of us to pray that we would see how about gospel, Bears, fruits and fathers meant to be applied all over.
How are you?
Lord lord lord.
I pray that you glorify.
There are lots of humbling moment as a parent.
And you can substitute the word humbling with embarrassing.
For instance.
There's the public embarrassment when your toddler's decide.
They don't know who you are, and are going to scream at the top of their lungs and run in the exact opposite direction, while you're in the middle of a crowd.
Yes, this has happened.
There's also the embarrassment on humbling when they decide to repeat something that they heard in private conversation in the home in front of a total stranger.
Or when they decide to evacuate everything, everything have been storing up in their little bodies.
While you're on the way, to some important thing is that you're already late for.
All of those are humbling.
All of those are embarrassing, but probably one of the most humbling things that can happen for a parent.
Is when your child catches you in the middle of hypocrisy.
When your child called out the radical inconsistency, between what you say, you believe in the tenor of life.
I know that never happens to any of the people in this room, so I will give you an example from our life.
Department.
For instance.
This may have happened at our home recently, when I'm in the middle of watching or listening to a few of my children who will remain nameless in the middle of a argument.
And then in my most frustrated angry boys.
I yell at them in for be patient with one another.
Parents anyone?
Talk about that later.
Usually when that happens maybe in the moment.
I don't recognize.
It's going on with one of my kids.
It doesn't, so they will try to silence and then the reality slowly sets in that.
I've been caught.
Where my words, my beliefs were out of mine with my actions and I think if we are honest we have all been in a situation with this reality has played out in our lives.
In the past.
We just read.
We see that the apostles themselves were no exception.
Peter himself is caught in an act of outright hypocrisy where his actions didn't.
Woodbury Costco.
Go to office sobering warning than that per hour.
Today and everyday.
We will compete.
Easy gospel.
Democracies in the church to be a place where as one off of wood.
Babe, visible.
You say that again?
God has designed the shirt to be the place.
We've been screwed in the beauty of the Gospel plays out for the world.
So when our lives and our church is going to flood.
In the message of the Gospel were called the holdout to a world is unintentionally obscured by the tenor of Our Lives.
And do what I want to do this morning is just to help us be on guard against the subtle danger of gospel, hip-hop receipt, that undermines the gospel.
We want to hold on.
ultimately,
That's what I've got is three lessons this morning that the passage teaches us about how to be on guard against gospel.
The caucusing.
The first lesson is this Play gospel.
Apocracy the way down.
Let's see what happens.
The week before we dive in verse 11.
I think I'm looking around the room.
I think many of you were here.
Paul has gone up to the apostles in the apostles in.
He's laid.
The gospel is preached before then.
They hear the gospel.
Say yes.
And they extend the right hand of Fellowship.
Essentially saying, yes, we're on the same team.
We are Partners in proclaiming the same job, but we have gospel solidarity.
