Eternally Secure

Put your faith and trust in him. And you cannot go wrong. Father in the mighty name of your son. Jesus, I come to you this morning today. As always first. Giving you praise glorify you for who you are and thanking you for bringing us to another time of worship together for your God, that you would be uplifted that you would be magnified and that you would be glorified. I pray, you don't like that. You're worried that go for Will go forth with the power of the Holy Spirit touched, the heart of the years and that they would, they draw. To repentance and that they would be drawing. Closer to you got is your word that gives life. It is your word that give us saving faith and Grace. It should worry that give us eternal life and we thank you for that. So have you wait you did. I pray in Jesus name? Last week we talked on the subject of eternal life, eternal life is the result of being born again. Once we have eternal life, are we then eternally secure? The question comes up from time to time. Can someone lose their salvation? Can I lose my salvation? Today, I want to talk on the subject of being eternally secure. I'll be coming from Philippians chapter 1, verses 3 and 6. There's there's been a point where someone trust in Jesus Christ. They understand their sinfulness. They understand, Jesus Paid the price on the cross. They understand that only by trusting in the finished work of Jesus. Can they be made right with God? They choose to trust in Jesus, but is that the end of it? Do they still have to keep trying to impress God to stay in his? Good graces. What happens when they saying after they trusted. Jesus? Is there a point out there somewhere? Where when we cross it we cancelled God's salvation. Can we ever really know if we are still saying, can I lose it and never know it? Can we definitely say that? We are saying, can we know, whether we are secure in our Salvation? Is there an answer to this question in the Bible? I think there is a God. Definitely answer.

God has a definite answer for this question in this world.

That's coming from The New International Version starting at verse 3. It says, I thank my God. Every time I remember you and all my prayers for all of you. I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. Number 6, being confident of this that he who began a good work in, you will carry it out on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. We going to use this message to talk about the question. Can I lose my salvation? God, begin out of the Bible says, he who has began a good work in you. Who is he? He is God. What is this? Good work. This good work is salvation. So what can we get other from this raids? God began a good work. God, initiated our Salvation before. We were even aware of it. God began the process of bringing us to him and John 6:44, the new international version. No one, no one can come to me. Unless the father who sent me draws him and I will raise him up at the last day. These are the words of Jesus. People have been following Jesus around to see what Miracle he might do next. He then told them that he was the bread from heaven. When he said this Minister, who does he think he is? We know his mama. We know where he comes from now. He is saying he is manna from Heaven. He is claiming he is from Heaven daylight, the show, but they could not accept who Jesus said he was. And so Jesus tells them that they will not be able to accept him. Unless God gives them the capacity to do. So the truth. We find years that when we come to Jesus God is already active enjoying us to him. Let's go to Ephesians chapter 2 verses 1 through 9. Starting at verse Monday says, ask for you. You were dead in your transgressions and sins and which you used to live when you follow the ways of this world and other ruler of the kingdom of the, are the spirit, who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time gratifying the Cravings of our flesh and following it desires and thoughts. Like the rest. We were by Nature deserving a rap verse for but because of his great love for us, God who is rich in Mercy made us alive with Christ. Even when we were dead and transgressions, It Is by Grace, you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seek with him and I have early rounds in Christ Jesus. In order that in the coming age, is he might show the incomparable Riches of his grace? Express in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. And then verse 8-9 says for it is by Grace. You have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourself. It is the gift of God is not by works so that no one can boast. Before we came to Jesus. We were dead. We were spiritually dead, spiritually, dead means we are born without the capacity to know or comprehend. God. It is our sinful nature verse 3 to live according to the ways of our flesh. According to this passage. We naturally follow the ways of the prince of the power of the air. We naturally live like the devil, but when we were dead, when we were in this state, God made us alive. God, you was out of the sinful State and saved it was because of his grace. He is a merited favor that he did but it was not because of who we are, it was because of who he Birth date. Again, says for it is by grace. you and I have been saved through faith, and it is not from Yourselves. It is the gift of God not by works. So that no one can boast. We are saying by God's grace when we exercise our faith in Jesus Christ. And this faith, we exercise is not something we suddenly find within ourselves. This face is God's gift to us. We are saved when God gives us the faith to believe. And so God begins outside this, our Salvation. He is the active. One that brings us to him. We are ready. When we respond to what God is already doing in our hearts. He is the initiator. The beginner God start something that he will continue. God continues our Salvation. God will keep us in this position. He has joined us to God has saved us. Then it is reasonable reasonable to believe that God will want to keep us where he has us. God is Not Like Us. Where Are You motion change from day-to-day an hour to hour. He does not make a mistake and he does not change his mind. The Bible tells us, he is the same yesterday today and forever. If he saved us yesterday. He intends to keep us a today. Let's go to John 10:27 2:30, starting at verse 27. It says my sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. Embrace 28, I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. My father who has given them to me is greater than all? No one, no one can snatch them. Out of my father's hand. And verse 30 says, I am the father or the job of a Shepherd is to protect his sheep. They do not let anything happen to them, that might cause them to be separated from the floor, is she can go on with the lies because they have a Shepherd. Keeping watch, Jesus is the Good Shepherd. We are his sheep and he is watching over us. Jesus says that he has given us his cheek eternal life. He began out of a sheet and he says, we will never perish. This means we will never never be separated from him. Why? Because, no one snatches out of his hand. Nothing can remove us from Jesus. No one. Can remove us from Jesus. When we are in Jesus Christ. Say, nothing can ever change our position. No, external forces, can grab us out of his grip. The devil can't ever change my position of your position as a save born-again Christian, because we are saved in the group of deep. I like that song that's out. Say, In the Arms of Jesus, In the Arms of Jesus, the great truth here is that nothing can take away our Salvation. There is no one that can overpower God. There is nothing that can overcome God and cause him to let go of me and you what God draws us to hear. There ain't nothing that will make him. Let go of us. God complete sound Salvation. Let's go with you back to Philippians. 1646 are being confident of this that he who began a good work in, you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Completion has to do with finishing something. So that must be a time. When God finish. What he started. He will keep us in his grip until some other time comes. What is this time? The day of Jesus Christ, that is the day when Jesus Christ comes back and take us home with him. That is the day. When we are complete, that is the day when we began and Eternity with him forever will finish what he has started. Do you see yourself bation through to completion? He will bring you into his presence and you will be there forever and ever. What constitutes salvation there are three aspects of saddle. They are to the State of Grace. In each is characterized by word. Conveying a definite picture or illustration of the blessing, the three aspects justification regeneration and sanctification justification is a Judicial term bringing to our mind, a courtroom scene guilty and condemned before God is acquitted and declare righteous. He was sure that God will finish what he started. We can be. We can be sure that God has called us to him, we can be sure that was God, calls us to him. Nothing can change our position. And we can be sure that God he will finish what he has started. He will save us to be up moves. He will give us eternal life continues and God complete Outsider vacation. That is eternal life. You can put it this way. I have been saved. I am being saved and I will be saying salvation does not rest with us, but with God, we cannot save ourselves. And we cannot unsee about self my foundation and your salvation, rest, totally, in the hands of God, God's word assures us, that we can be confident that our Salvation is to cure for all eternity by God. God is always join me. 2nd, Peter 3, 9. The Lord is not slow and keeping his promise as some understands closes. Instead. He is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repent it and then Hebrew 315 as has just been said today. Not tomorrow today. Not next week today. Not that s***. Today. If you hear his voice, do not Harden your heart as you did. And if you see, he doesn't want anyone to be lost. He doesn't want anyone not to be safe. If you join us today without Jesus. It just may be that you join us because he's working to draw you to himself today. He wants you to come to him today. If there's anyone out there who have not receive Christ as their lord and savior. Will you come today? Will you give your life over to the one? Who can save you to the utmost? Our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ? As we take a moment of silence. And pray for those around us. Pray For Those. Whom we know are not say, Pray For Those whom, we believe have stepped away from the fake pray that God will touch their hearts and draw them back to himself.
