John 9:35-41
John 9:35-41
John 9:39 “And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”
New Living Translation Chapter 9
39 Then Jesus told him, “I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind.”
Amplified Bible Chapter 9
39 Then Jesus said, I came into this world for judgment [as a Separator, in order that there may be separation between those who believe on Me and those who reject Me], to make the sightless see and to make those who see become blind.
Does this verse contradict John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John 12:27 ““Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.”
Jesus came to pronounce decisions on the ungodly as a judge .
John 5:22 “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,”
John 5:27 “and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.”
Jesus doesn’t blind people they are already blind by thinking they see by trusting in themselves
Satans contributes to that blinding .
2 Cor 4:4 “whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”
because you claim you can see then are you really blind .
Its dangerous to be a teacher of spiritual truth .
because you don’t want to bring reproach against Christ .
John 3:10 “Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?”
Romans 2:19-24 “and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.”
James 3:1 “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.”
