Revelation 3:8 KJV 1900
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Introduction:
Doubting Castle is the place which many christian are destroyed or imprisoned in their minds.
Doubt - a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction.
Doubt causes unsureness · indecision · hesitation · hesitancy · confusion · question mark.
Paul And Silas
Acts 16:24–26 KJV 1900
Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
Many of our persecutions is not because of our faith in God. (Flat tire, Job lost, evictions, sickness).
Matthew 5:38–39 KJV 1900
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Jesus here speaks of personal slights of any kind.
The slap or smiting does not have to involve literal, physical violence.
Even in our day, a slap in the face is a metaphor for an unexpected insult or offence.
If someone insult don’t be shocked or offended.
Don’t return insult for insult.
2. Paul and Silas prayed at midnight.
2 Corinthians 10:4–5 KJV 1900
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
3. God open the door that no man could shut.
