Luke 2:49 KJV 1900
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
At the early age of 12, Jesus began his work in the kingdom of God.
It has never been the Father desire for us to be idle.
Many believe because they are so busy that they are not idle.
But if the truth be told, if we are not actively occupied working in the kingdom of God, then we are idle spiritually for Jesus Christ.
Matthew 20:3 KJV 1900
And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
Matthew 20:4 KJV 1900
And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
Matthew 20:5 KJV 1900
Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
Matthew 20:6 KJV 1900
And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Its never to late to work in God’s harvest field.
Some start early in life (Samuel), some start mid-life (Paul), some even start late in their old age Moses). Whether you start young or old, START.....
Idle - avoiding work; lazy; spend time doing nothing.
If you are not giving God any of your time (which really is His in the first place) you are actually doing nothing in the eyes of God.
John 9:4 KJV 1900
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
There is a time wherewith the harvest will end.
Pastor Davis Story
While he was traveling through farm lands at night...
Matthew 9:37 KJV 1900
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Matthew 9:38 KJV 1900
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Jesus doesn’t end with a empty thought. What did he do?
Matthew 10:1 KJV 1900
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
John 4:35 KJV 1900
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Why do we work?
John 4:36 KJV 1900
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
He that reapest recieved wages.
And gathereth fruit unto life eternal.
That both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Jude 23 KJV 1900
and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV 1900
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
