1 John 4:9–12 ESV
9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
God Sent Christ as a true act of Love for each of us / not just all of us.
1 John 2:2 ESV
2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
We tend to look at salvation only at a world level and it is easy to find your self less important to God. His sacrifice was for you on a individual bases, and the rest of the world.
God’s Love is seen in His Sacrifice
Romans 5:8 ESV
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Our love Should Look Like God’s!!!! Sacrificial !
John 15:12–13 ESV
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
You can not truly say you love someone if you are not willing to sacrifice something for them
True Godly Love is a Witness to a True God.
John 13:34–35 ESV
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Is your Love a Godly love?
