Confession of Faith

I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name

Introduction:

Today I want to speak to your hearts!

This is a call to repentance

This is a call to your heart - which is essential if there is to be change in our lives

This is a call to stir revival in your spirit

The Man Of God is calling for people to repent of their sins and turn back to God!

This appeal I make to you is urgent!

Joel 2:12 NKJV

12 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”

Stop for a minute and think about the thing that you know God is not pleased with in your life!

This includes me - I know the things God is not pleased with in my life - so I repent!

I come to God with Fasting, Weeping and Mourning!

This time of repentance is necessitated by a complete change of heart!

I appeal to your heart, because repentance must be genuine!

When you know that thing - that sin, that stumbling block, that mountain, that is keeping you in a cycle of discontent - it is time to turn that over to God!

I am appealing to you today to make a radical change in your heart!

God , I Need Help

I need help to give all of me to you!

I need help to hear your voice

I need help to submit to your will

I need help!

Joel 2:13 NLT

13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.

Just like Joel pleaded with the people to tear their hearts

I am asking us - me included - To tear at the heart as a sign of sorrow over the sin in our life, the sin in our family and the sin in this world!

Who is Godly sorrowful about sin!

I believe when we are Godly sorrowful,

the Lord will answer prayers

I believe when we are Godly sorrowful, God will heal our land

I believe when we are Godly sorrowful, their will be a spirit of worship for the Lord, In spirit and truth

But it starts with me and it starts with you!

Repentance in the heart is essential in order to prevent God’s judgement!

Here me - God is asking us to turn away from sin and turn to him in every area of our lives!

When we repent - we can obey him and follow his word!

So it’s a season for fasting and prayer!

Matthew 3:2 NLT

2 “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

Luke 13:3 NCV

3 No, I tell you. But unless you change your hearts and lives, you will be destroyed as they were!

Acts 2:38 NLT

38 Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I remember many years ago when my life was in such turmoil, chaotic and confusing! I went to a church and the pastor seemed just like he was talking to me!

He said if you want true peace, repent

If you want true love repent

If you want true joy repent

And If you want the Holy Spirit repent

Then He went on to talk about the Holy Spirit and the power he brings in your life

He talked about the Holy Spirit and The Joy he brings in your life

He talked about the Holy Spirit and the love he brings into your life

and I remember - I wanted that! I wanted that really bad!

So he invited all down - who wanted the gift of the Holy Spirit

I went down to that altar and repented for the things I was doing, things I was saying and how I was conducting my life!

I received the Holy Spirit - my evidence was the spiritual language and I have been on this journey ever since!

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Let God reveal himself to you!

If you are called by his name Christian you are his child!

No more rebelling against God!

God, I need your Help

No more being stubborn - insisting on living life the way you want!

God I need your help!

No more disobeying his word, with arrogance, fear and worldliness

God, I need your help

So we fast and pray

2 Chronicles 7:14 The Message

14 and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.

God is appealing to our hearts - turn away from sinful behaviors and turn to our Lord Jesus Christ!

He will know when we are sincere - when we turn away from our sins!

God is ready, willing and able to forgive

God is ready to restore

God is ready to give back to you what you have lost

God is ready to heal

God is ready to bless - if we are ready to move in obedience

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

Revelation 22:14 NKJV

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

God, I need your Help

Ezra 8:21–23 The Message

21 I proclaimed a fast there beside the Ahava Canal, a fast to humble ourselves before our God and pray for wise guidance for our journey—all our people and possessions. 22 I was embarrassed to ask the king for a cavalry bodyguard to protect us from bandits on the road. We had just told the king, “Our God lovingly looks after all those who seek him, but turns away in disgust from those who leave him.” 23 So we fasted and prayed about these concerns. And he listened.

We must seek God for guidance and protection!

You know where you need God’s help

You know where you need God to direct you

You know where you need deliverance!

Fast and Pray for your freedom

Fast and pray to let go of things that worry you

Fast and pray for you emotional healing

Fast and pray to let go of previous disappointments and hurts!

Fast and pray to free your self from the things people say about you!

Fast and pray for the relationships you are in

Fast and Pray for protection

Fast and pray for your return to the Lord

Fast and pray that you might hear from God

The reality is that we all need God’s help

But there is something we must do and that is to repent

Change our hearts - turn to God

The start is when we fast and pray!
