And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
Thoughts
Thoughts
When we pray to “Our Father” we acknowledge God’s relationship to us, He is our Father which means we are His children, and also our relationship with one another, we are brothers and sisters because we have the same Father.
Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,” furthermore illustrates being of one family.
Equity
BREATHE Act - The bill proposes to divest taxpayer dollars from policing and invest in alternate, community-based approaches to public safety. 1. Divest from incarceration and policing 2. Invest in new approaches to community safety 3. Allocating new money to build healthy, sustainable and equitable communities for all people 4. Holding political leaders accountable and enhancing self-determination of black communities. This act would also create a specific timeline to close federal prisons.
Department of Defense put out a tweet, “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Are Necessities in U.S. Military.” This was actually a statement by Bishop Garrison who is the senior advisor to the Secretary of Defense for Human Capital and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. ”When the military gets recruits from diverse backgrounds, there will be more innovative thought, more innovative solutions to incredibly complex and complicated problems that are facing the national security apparatus today, he said. ‘I want people to see [diversity, equity and inclusion] as another tool in the toolkit and another way of solving these problems. It’s not just something that has to be done because of some type of cultural ideology or culture wars that are going on — that’s not the case at all. It is, again, not diversity for diversity’s sake.’”
It is the heart that is incredibly wicked, not the color of our skin.
