Because My Focus Is On His Promises

Uncertain times we are living in - There are heresies been promulgated throughout the land, wars and rumors of wars, diseases and pestilence, it seems as if the Coming Of The Lord is near. . .
This may be so, but we are not too be consumed with the seasons or times, less our focus remains on His Promised Word!
Matthew 24: 8 - 13 “8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
We learned last week that God’s Word keeps me aligned because we look at Christs’ example, He is the Author and Finisher - So we endure the race because His Word Promised that we will win!
Therefore, while we are in this world full of all these things that are the beginning of sorrows; we are unbothered because My Focus Is On His Promised Word, which allows me to REJOICE ALWAYS! 1 Thessalonians 5:16 “16 Rejoice always,”
I am unbothered because of God’s Word! 1 Kings 8:56 “56 “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.”
When your focus remains on God’s Word and you are awakened to His Promises, you will have put on the non-disappointing Hope, which gives you peace to be unbothered by the things of this world!
I do know that there are times your feathers become ruffled, but because of God’s Promised Word, I refuse to “quench The Holy Spirit. . .” He fights for me, and He keeps me from giving into the pressures, which is why I remain unbothered!
Bothered = To be upset; to be bothered; to be troubled; to be disturbed, agitated, in turmoil, stirred up, ruffled.Practical Word Studies in The New Testament.
Greek - To furnish, to present. . . .
The enemy wants you to consider his word, which he presents to you as being The Word of God!
Matthew 4:8-10 “8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ””
God has provided for you and for me, His Only begotten Son, and because you believe in Him, and know that The Father of lights sent Him as you in the earth; “let not your heart be bothered. . .”
This is why Paul encourages the knowers of God’s Promised Word; 1 Thessalonians 5:22 “22 Abstain from every form of evil.”
Have you made your mind up that I am at a place in this walk where I refuse to allow anything to disturb my peace?
Regardless of the plight from the enemy, I will not walk in the counsel of the unGodly, because Psalm 12:6 “6 The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.”
I know too much about Him; He has done so many great things for me; therefore I refuse to allow these small afflictions to rob, kill and destroy The Peace of God that surpasses all understanding. . .
Isaiah 53:5 “5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
I have been through too much and come out of too much, for me to be bothered by those things that cannot even be compared to His Glory!
God’s Word promises us that because you are not of darkness, you have been illuminated by The Father Of Lights. . . when those things of the enemy are presented to you, be rest assured they won’t overtake you!
1 Thessalonians 5:1 - 10 “1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.”
Paul is encouraging the knowers, that thru Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, we have deliverance from everything that tries to bind us up!
Jesus The Christ - High and Lifted up - Brought all of the judgement unto Him - and has buried our fears, and griefs to bear - When He rose, He got up with Power!
Acts 12:7 I remember when Peter was in prison - The Holy Angels of God touched him and awakened him - Peter thought it was a dream, or a vision - He told him to arise quickly - And when he got up, the chains fell off. . .
When you decide to obey the Word of God and remain focused on His Promises, those things that had you bound will fall off -
Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:20 “20 Do not despise prophecies.”
So you won’t think I am just telling you something; The Word of God is prophesying to you right now thru this story about Peter in Prison. . .
Acts 12:9 - 10 “9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.”
God told me to tell you - He is about to do some real things in your life!
Because of your faithfulness and knowledge of Him - He is about to manifest some real things you have been praying for!
God did not appoint us to wrath, but to have deliverance in Jesus The Christ Our Lord And Savior!
It does not matter the state you are in right now, don’t let it bother you - God’s Word is very pure, therefore love His Word!
