Gal 3:28

In Gen 1:27 God created both man & woman in His image.

The woman

- helpmeet

- complementarity

- completes man

- equal in value to the man(taken from man's side)

In Gen 2:15

- man to till the garden

In Gen 1:28

- man and woman to

- be fruitful

- increase in number

- fill the earth and subdue it

alone man had a garden, together Adam and Eve had an earth

Trans: so why do we as man and woman battle each other when together we are unstoppable

Even Today:

- woman wages are not equal

Even Today

- woman do not get the respect they deserve-sexual harrassment is on the rise

Even today

- the opportunity to minister to God's people is still prevelent ,even today

- Gen 3:16-the battle of the sexes

- Man treatment of woman has declined

Ill: Pagan cultures would value the life of a male child over a female-discard the female over a cliff. Some Jewishmen would thank God saying "I thank God that Thou hast not made me a Gentile, a slave or a woman!

I Thank God for Gal 3:28

- God loves His daughters

- God uses His daughters

- God annoints His daughters

For example:

- Deborah(Judges 4:4)

- Miriam(Ex15:20)

- Anna(Luke 2:36)

Paul even credits women for their support and hard work in Rom 16:

- Phoebe(v1-2)-great help to many people

- Mary(v6)-hard worker for saints

- Tryphena & Tryphosa(v12)-work hard in the Lord

- Persis(v12)-work hard in the Lord

- Rufus' mother(v13)-a mother to Paul

What are we to say:

Man may try to keep the woman under his feet but God created woman to be by his side, weaker physically but

- just as intellegent

- just as annointed

- just as diligent

As a man. There is no need to be in competation with each other, no need for the enterance of sin to cause a battle of the sexes

We are all(man & female)equal before God and as children of God we must support our sisters in their struggle for

- equal pay

- equal respect

- equal opportunity

Which includes the church. Many women have never been given the opportunity to accept their call to ministry or walk fully in their call because of the battle of the sexes and man need to dominate instead of use the gifted and annointed women around them.

God has created us one in Christ and as you can see in the scriptures that God not only pours His Spirit upon His sons and daughters, He uses both of us to accomplish His purpose and to give Him the glory!

Lets take the battle out of the battle of the sexes.
