God’s bounty is given to all people. It is a blessing to be able to receive that bounty with thanksgiving and to respond to the goodness of God. The Old Testament custom of tithing is worthy of our consideration as appropriate expressions of thanksgiving to God, as we reflect on our motivation for giving. Our return on God’s trust to us is to be a central part of our worship.
