Jesus is the Mission (The father sends the son, the son sends his disciples).
All authority is Jesus’, he sends his disciples (changed by, following, mission of Jesus) to the world to make more disciples.
Worship is the Heart- We don’t have an obedience problem.
Worship- Our response to who God is, what he does, and living a life that is consistent with that reality.
Read Psalm 145
Psalm 145
Psalm 145
A Song of Praise. Of David.
1 I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless you
and praise your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
6 They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,
and I will declare your greatness.
7 They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness
and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 The Lord is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.
10 All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your saints shall bless you!
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
and tell of your power,
12 to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord is faithful in all his words
and kind in all his works.
14 The Lord upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

a. The Psalmist (David) has seen God’s amazing work first hand.
-Not just stories or legends but experiences
-Slayed giants, went from the least to the greatest, on the run from a crazy king, won battles he shouldn’t have won, experienced God’s forgiveness when he was at his lowest point.
b. God’s work deserves to be bragged about.
b. God’s work deserves to be bragged about.
We Brag about a lot of things

-how good the movie was
-how dominant our sports teams are
-THE HUMBLE BRAG- “So crazy I accomplished _____, I don’t think I’m that good at all.”
c. Argument- We brag about things we are proud of, if we don’t take time to worship our God by bragging on all he is doing, what might that say about how we truly feel about him?
c. What does bragging on God look like practically?
c. What does bragging on God look like practically?
Unleash your worship!
Don’t be ashamed to talk about him with friends, family, even when making small talk with strangers.
You’ll be surprised how many will either be curious and want to know more, and how many will open up about their own experiences which will lead to a spiritual discussion.
2. Rest in His Provision

God’s people can find comfort and rest in that, that trust is a worshipful response to how God works. It anchors us to him.
Canoe anchor stuck in the Hiwassee River- we weren’t going anywhere until we cut the anchor.
d. Argument- how can you worship a God you can’t trust, or depend on? This life can be tough and you need to be fully anchored to the Lord.
e. One of the most worship filled things you can do is just depend on, trust, and find rest in God’s provision.
-Shows itself through your prayer life. What does your prayer life say about how much you trust him?
3. Find your Fullest Satisfaction In Him
3. Find your Fullest Satisfaction In Him
vs. 19
a. God’s actions are good, he is all good, he provides, he works, moves, loves- in summation he is the most highly desirable thing in the universe,
-the only thing to be worthy off worship.
b. As his creation, his redeemed people if we set ourselves to above all, desire and be satisfied in him nothing else can really phase us.
19- He fulfills the desire of those who fear him...
19- He fulfills the desire of those who fear him...
c. The heart can desire many things- some of which are unattainable.
God wants to be pursued, loved, worshipped and desired. He wired us to do this.
God wants to be pursued, loved, worshipped and desired. He wired us to do this.
God will honor your pursuit by giving you a relationship with him and fulfilling the deepest longing of your heart.
God will honor your pursuit by giving you a relationship with him and fulfilling the deepest longing of your heart.
d. There is a reason in every culture there is a longing to know who God is, but because of sin we can’t fully get the whole picture. We need God to reveal himself to us.
e. That’s what he has been doing from the beginning- calling out to us, calling out to you- to come back to him.
You can find him tonight!
