Leviticus 25:9

The Day of Atonement Atonement, the great annual day of...
Humiliation. They humbled themselves and admitted they could not do anything to redeem themselves, it was only by the blood of the Lamb of God.
Expiation [expiation means “extinguishing the guilt of sin] for the sins of the nation, “the fast” (Acts 27:9), and the only one commanded in the law of Moses. The mode of its observance is described in Lev. 16:3–10; 23:26–32; and Num. 29:7–11.
It was kept on the tenth day of the month Tisri, i.e., five days before the feast of Tabernacles, and lasted from sunset to sunset. (See AZAZEL.)
I. The Atonement Was For Comforting.
”ye must be born again” (John 3:3, 7)
II. The Atonement Was For Conviction.
“sin, righteousness, and judgement”
John 16:7–11 (AV)
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
III. The Atonement Was For Conversion.
Hebrews 9:22 (AV)
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Conclusion:
Now that Christ has made the final atonement for all, have you received Him as your atonement?
