“Get your mind out of the gutter.”
420
“that’s what she said”
“I couldn’t sleep last night.”
Romans 12:2 NKJV
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Conformed: to assimilate ⇔ be conformed v. — to be or become behaviorally or socially similar to; conceived of as being or becoming shaped or molded to a certain pattern.
Colossians 3:1–2 NKJV
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Ephesians 2:5–6 NKJV
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Psalm 91:1 NKJV
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
So, we seem to have a concept of our mind being transported from here to there.
Where is your mind?
How many say it’s in your brain?
How many say it’s in your soul?
Our brain is an interface for our soul into the physical world.
George McDonald said, “Never tell a child, ‘you have a soul.’ Teach him, you are a soul; you have a body.”
Where is the spiritual world?
What do we call what happened to adam and eve?
The Spiritual world has a fallen part, and a heavenly part. The cosmos is fallen and includes the physical and spiritual fallen state.
Daniel 10:12–13 NKJV
12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.
The heavenly part is physical and spiritual too!
Regardless, our soul is not physical so it can’t be confined only to our body. We are limited to only be aware of the physical.
Think of it as sticking your head through a face-shaped hole.

Wherever it is, our brain is the interface from our soul to the physical world. So in the spiritual world, our soul could be anywhere.
How do we transform our mind from the cosmos to the heavenly?
Praise: to praise (religious) v. — to extol the greatness of a deity or the deity’s works as an act of worship.
to praise v. — to express one’s esteem or approval of.
Praise is a gift from us to God
, for how great He is.
If you’re depressed, angry, or hopeless, which of these causes an actual shift? An transformation in your thinking?
Deny Him
Angry with Him
Ignore Him
Acknowledge Him
Ask Him
Thank Him
Praise Him
youre not just acknowledging He can, you’re expressing your excitement and awe at the fact that He does! At the fact He’s alread done it! At the fact that it doesn't matter if things go your way or not!
It is impossible to be depressed or hopeless or angry, and express that.
If your mind has been transported, and you’re no longer in the gutter, but are in heavenly places? how will you see situations?
the way that person spoke to you
how will you see lustful situations?
how will you see scary situations?
What is where Christ is?
Revelation 4:8–11 NKJV
8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: 11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
