There Is Only One Way

John 14:6b “No one comes to the Father except through me.” CSB

ERV: John 14:6b Jesus answered, .. . “The only way to the Father is through me.”

The Way Is In Jesus

This means the way to the Father is in Jesus. If we are not found in Jesus, will will not have a way to the Father.

Through Jesus? Jesus pretty much says “my way or the highway” or, do it right or not at all. Stick with me or just take off.

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” CSB

ERV: John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”

If you want to experience God the Father and be in his presence for eternity, the ONLY WAY is in Jesus, so we must be in Jesus to come through to the Father.

The only way to the Father is through Jesus. Jesus is the way.

The Truth Is In Jesus

What I mean is that the truth of the Father God is in Jesus. He is the way, and he is the truth.

We can think about God the Father, we can try to describe God the Father, we can write books about what to know about God the Father, but without being in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, we can never get to the important truth about God the Father.

Here’s what Jesus says:

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” CSB

ERV: John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”

In Jesus is the Truth so we can know God the Father truly. He is the Truth so we can know God the Father’s heart of love for us.

Jesus is the Truth that allows us to experience God the Father’s Holiness in Jesus so we are not blown away by the holiness of God.

We need the Truth in Jesus about God the Father so we can find our way to God the Father with a more perfect understanding of the Father.

We can’t know the Truth about God the Father without Jesus.

The Life Is In Jesus

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” CSB

ERV: John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”

The Way of Jesus Is Knowing the Father

John 14:7a “If you know me, you will also know my Father.” CSB

ERV: John 14:7a “If you really knew me, you would know my Father too.”

The Way of Jesus Is Seeing the Father

John 14:7b “From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

ERV: John 14:7b “But now you know the Father. You have seen him.”

John 14:9b Jesus said to him,... “The one who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” CSB

ERV: John 14:9b Jesus answered,... “ Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father too. So why do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

The Way of Jesus Brings Us From Death to Life

John 14:19 “ In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live too.” CSB

ERV: John 14:19 “In a very short time the people in the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. You will live because I live.”

Because Jesus Beats Death

The Way of Jesus Is Loving Faithfully

John 14:21 “The one who has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father. I also will love him and will reveal myself to him.” CSB

ERV: John 14:21 “Those who really love me are the ones who not only know my commands but also obey them. My Father will love such people, and I will love them. I will make myself known to them.”

The Love of God to Us is Unconditional

Our Love to God is Responsive

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. CSB

ERV: 1 John 4:19 We love because God first loved us.

The Way of Jesus Is Peace

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” CSB

ERV: John 14:27 “I leave you peace. It is my own peace I give you. I give you peace in a different way than the world does. So don’t be troubled. Don’t be afraid.”

The Greatest Gift Is Jesus

In Him we have The Way

Direction

In Him we have The Truth

Understanding

In Him we have The Life

Eternal Life

In Jesus we See the Father’s Heart

In Him We Know Love

Because He First Loved Us

In Him We Know Life

Because He Lives

In Him We Know Peace

Because He Gives His Peace
