Genesis 22:1-14

Introduction

So, there’s a lot of stuff going on in this text. There’s a ram that pops up, we have a sacrifice, there’s a knife (never read a Bible story with a knife in it so this is the first) but there’s a lot going on & we’re gonna talk about it. But first, I want to tell y’all a story.

So, Idk where y’all stand on tattoos. Ik some Christians don’t like them & quote Leviticus 19:28. But some say the verse doesn’t apply to us so IDK where you stand but I’m going to use a illustrtation about tattoos.

I’m not the biggest fan of tattoos because really I didn’t think I would look good with one. Some people can really rock them but some eh idk. But tattoo’s are cool. My dad has some. But my Dad now has a problem too. My Dad got a tattoo years ago saying “my two little angels “Dylan & Brandon.” You know cute & all. But at the time my Dad at 2 kids but now he has 3 kids. So, he has a little problem now. Somehow, he has to figure out how to get Jonah’s name on it. And I’m not bashing him or anything, we joke about it all the time.

But I recently got a tattoo. I got this tattoo because I want this to be like a life motto for me. I want to live this verse.

Tattoo story & tell how Dad has a tattoo problem now.
