I'm Not Turning Back

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I’m not turning back “Don’t look back

To begin with brothers and sisters, Christian friends, well wishers, and Godly family, our future is filled with fabulous favors from God that focuses on our faith that has an ultimate goal. Today we ought to Focus on our Goal. Let’s read the text again.

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

1. Paul the writer says brethren I don’t think that I’m all that.

2. Paul says in verse 13 after the colon: I recognize what I have to do.

3. Paul says I see now that I have to let some things in the past go.

4. Paul says in verse 14 I have to work at being the winner I really am because I’m working for an imperishable Prize.

I thought about what Paul is really saying to his favorite church, And this is what I came up with when I read it from another translation of the bible

FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL

12–14  I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. I’m not turning back!!!

Paul teaches, talks, and tells us that I’m not turning back even though I realize that I don’t have it all together. And Saints of God The more I live the more I realize that I don’t have it all together.

I realize that I don’t have the perfect life, the perfect wife, the perfect children, the perfect family, the perfect church, the perfect community, the perfect state, the perfect nation, and I don’t live in a perfect world, but I’m not turning back.

The black inventor Eli McCoy invented the cotton gin and every person who bought a cotton gin wanted to know if the machine was stamped with the emblem the real McCoy. And that’s the way Jesus is . He’s stamped by the Father as the real deal.What do you mean preacher? Jesus is the perfect Lamb, The Messiah of the World, the Only Begotten of the Father, The very Son of God, the Prince of Peace, the savior of the world,Mankind’s last and best hope, the Lover of my Soul and the monganase God 100% God and 100% man at the same time who understand mankind’s plight.

So the next time you began to say know nobody understands what I’m going through Just know this, that Jesus understands your situation. and when you know that! then you ought to began to say stuff like this What to do in 22? HMMM I know I’ll

“Never doubt my potential,

“Never lose my motivation

“Never give up on my objectives because I’m focused on my Goal.

“Never hide in hesitation letting people convince me of what I can’t do.

“Never allow negative people to pull me down. And

“Never go in the wrong direction on purpose.

Listen to me saints of God “Life is full of reasons to give up and quit. I see so many reasons that black people in America could just throw in the towel give up the fight for freedom and what’s worst is “it looks like the more things change the more they remain the same for us”.

So now the appeal more than ever is “we ought to have the drive that propels us into hyper-drive and make us Press for the Prize of the High calling in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

We’ve got to focus on our dreams and say to the world I’m not turning back. I’m going to pursue my dreams, I will endeavor to beat the odds, I will dare to be the winner nobody thought I could be, and even when they laugh in my face and say you can’t rise above your station in life, I’m not turning back!!! because my future is straight ahead. And if I keep God first everything is going to be alright.

1. Paul says in the text to have Humble Submission to God because it leads to a promotion from God.

Scripture say Humble yourself under the Mighty hand of God and He will exalt you in due season. And let me say this parenthetically When God does the elevating the devil in hell can’t stop your progress.

2. If we acknowledge our sins that will lead to vindication. Some people are trying to hide stuff from me right now but I’m not the righteous judge, God see you anyway. If it was me 2x I’d be like the publican who just said “Lord be merciful to me a sinner.” And what that does in God eyes is vindicate us. You’ll remember David when he saw that pretty girl Bathsheba who was another man’s wife. David had Uriah killed and slept with Bathsheba and God sent the Pastor Nathan to tell him about himself. David broke down and said “Lord create in me a clean heart oh God renew a right spirit within me” and God vindicated David and David remained the apple of God’s eye. If you’ve done something wrong confess it to God and be honest and the scripture says God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse from all unrighteousness.

And listen don’t beat yourself up about your sins nature because all of us struggle with our two natures the good and the bad the righteous and the wicked sides of us. Look up Romans 7:14-17  We know that the law is spiritual, but I am not spiritual since sin rules me as if I were its slave. 15 I do not understand the things I do. I do not do what I want to do, and I do the things I hate. 16 And if I do not want to do the hated things I do, that means I agree that the law is good. 17 But I am not really the one who is doing these hated things; it is sin living in me that does them.

Just read it and you won’t be so hard on yourself.

3. The Antidote that Produces a Favorable Outcome. The antidote is the cure for the sickness of sin. Just like the Corona Virus vaccination is there to help us with this deadly disease, well God Himself did that for us by sending Jesus the Propitiator, the expiator, the substitutionary sacrifice called the Hilamas. The Antidote

so Read Romans 5:1 when you get home and that’s the doctrine of Justification

FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL

Let’s read the text from the message bible in Philippians 3: 12–14  I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. I realize that none of us are all that we’re supposed to be (so I ain’t judging you)

In order to be successful we know that there are some things that we have to do. We have to repent, be regenerated, be converted, be justified, be elected, adopted,sanctified and delivered from the wiles of the devil and then be redeemed by the blood of Jesus to obtain Eternal Salvation.

Brothers and Sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers, and Saints of God Listen to me

1. we’ve got to let some people go,

2. We’ve got to let some places go Just don’t go there no mo

3. Some things you just have to give them up “it’s making you sick”.

Everybody in here have to make an effort to move ahead in life. We’ve got to Press on like verse 14 says I Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

I’ve got 5 things that will help you

Act on important things(prioritize your life) and leave the petty stuff alone.

2. Go for the Gusto and reach the extraordinary things in life and do something great!!!

3. Plan ahead of time. A man who fails to plan, plans to fail. You’ve got to prepare for your success.

4. Get up to speed with the new trends going . Social media reaches more people than our four walls does. Let’s keep up with the current times.

5. Stay filled with the Holy Ghost and trust God for everything because the word of God says in

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge God and He will direct your paths.

Well I’ve held you’ll long enough but tah Focus on your goal and then seize your goal with godly energy and start pursuing that goal. and before you know it you’lll be where you want to be. um um Draw your inspiration from the Lord. Because I’m reminded of a story that comes to my mind.um um

There was a woman with an issue of blood who had gone from doctor to doctor and she heard about Jesus coming through town um um Oh Lord

Don’t you see her pressing her way through the crowd stealthy, secretly, and surreptitiously trying to get to Jesus oh Lord she said if I could but touch the hem on His garment I will be made whole. Yes my Lord

She Pressed her way through that crowd um And

She didn’t care who saw her, or who talked about her who said this that or the third about her no no She kept on Pressing until she reached out and touched the hem on Him

And the bible says she was made whole instantly. Jesus stopped and said who touched me Jesus turned and saw the woman and said daughter thy faith has made thee whole.

And brothers and sisters In Life we’ve got to press our way through to the other side to get our blessings.
