Ex: Co worker trying to convince me to work on Sunday’s
The biggest mistake we make as christians is to think we are some how responsible for our success or we some in someway own what we have.
Haggai 2:8 “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts.”
In the text, Haggai gets a vision of what God is going to do in the future. And God’s says He’s going to shake the nations so that the treasures come in for the purposes of the temple.
“If God can get it through you, God will get it to you.”
God says If you are faithful with the little, you will be faithful in much
1 Kings 17:13 “And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said. But first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make something for yourself and your son.”
1 kings 17:15-16 “And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.”
if God wants to get finances and resources to you, that is not problem. The question is what will you do once he blesses you?
My Favorite Illustrations Reason for Stewardship
Instead of needing our gifts, God gives us the things necessary for life—life itself, breath, and every material thing. True, the Bible teaches the stewardship of life and substance. However, God is not within Himself dependent on such. Stewardship is designed to develop His people, whose very gifts are a recognition that all belongs to Him and comes from Him.
