Present Day perception of Jesus

John 6:29 NKJV
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Did Jesus Actually live
92% of all adults believe in the Historical Jesus
Who was Jesus…God/teacher/unknown
56% of adults believe Jesus was God
26% Moral teacher or spiritual leader
18% Not sure
People wanted Jesus to prove He was the son of God through miracles
John 6:30 NKJV
30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?
How do we work through the questions of…Is Jesus God
Fulfillment of OT Prophecies
The mathematical odds of any human fulfilling 16 prophecies 1x10 (45)
The key prophecy being his resurrection from the dead
Jesus himself claimed to be God by using clear OT references
The Gospels are clear in that Jesus was ultimately put to death because of ‘blasphemy’ of claiming to be God
Because of the life Jesus lead and His claims, holding a position that he is a good moral teacher is untenable
A liar will not die for his own lie
Can’t be a lunatic because of his of his conduct and teaching, in addition to the fulfilled prophecies
His claim to be God was backed by the resurrection and abundance of evidence (biblical, extra-biblical and historically)
As Christians, we all hold to the belief the Jesus is God and He is the way to the Father.
But there are varying degrees of conviction
The devil through society try’s to plant seeds of doubt
But if we actually look clearly and critically at the evidence we can satisfy the intellectual part of our faith
This provides the platform we need to lunge logically and faithfully into an ever deepening relationship with Christ
John 6:40 NKJV
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
