1 Corinthians 1:4–9 (NLT)

4 I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.

5 Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.

6 This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true.

7 Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

8 He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1. You are uniquely gifted by God

I thank God for each of you

Each of you are meant to be here

In God’s design, He chose you to be here

God, uniquely, gifted you for a purpose

Your gift carries a demand

You must use it for His glory

Since you are in Christ, you are gifted

God put each of us where we can excel, 1 Cor 12:4-6 “4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.”

You’re gifted, you’ve got this

2. Your place in the church is valuable

You are here because we need you

You are here because people in our sphere of influence need you

You are here because you make up the body of this church

You are here because you belong to Christ

We are His body, 1 Cor 12:12 “12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.”

At Arise Church, you belong, 1 Cor 12:18 “18 But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.”

You are valuable to our body

Be the best you

If one part suffers, we all suffer

If one part rejoices, we all rejoice

You’ve got this

3. You have all you need

With God, all things are possible

God has gifted you with everything you will ever need

You have the creativity

You have the strength

You have the know how to accomplish success

In addition, you have all you need in Him

If ever you are lost, call Him up

If ever you are in trouble, call Him up

If ever you are in need, call Him up

If ever you are need of healing, call Him up

If ever you depressed, call Him up

He is all we will ever need

God is not stingy

God wants to bless you

Jer 29:11 “11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

4. God is working in you and through you

Don’t give up when you mess up

Don’t quit and you will succeed

God is working things out

We have to trust that He knows what is best for us

Sometimes the best doesn’t look like the best

Sometimes what looks like the best is not that good

Don’t let your eyes deceive you

Gos will show you

He is at work in you

We are under construction

You’ve God This

5. Together, we will be victorious

Where 2 or 3 are gathered there He is in the midst

We need to lock arms

Jesus said that a kingdom divided against itself will not stand

A church divided will not stand

A home divided will not have victory

The enemy came to steal, kill, and destroy

Get on the same page

It is your responsibility to seek God when you can’t see what others see

God placed you here, in your family, in your job, etc… for a reason

If you feel like you don’t see the vision, ask God to open your eyes

We must be a strand of 3 cords

Eccl 4:12 “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
