Jesus brings the kingdom
Jesus talks to us about who will be a part of the Kingdom of God
Jesus opens up the mystery of the Kingdom of heaven
The difference is between those who use their ears and those who don’t
revealed to those on the inside use their ears
Those on the outside the Kingdom dont use their ears 4:9
This is the key verse here for us tonight
There will be a challenge to us tonight to open our ears and listen to Jesus afresh again tonight.
The danger is that we think we know what he is going to say.
This parable is going to challenge us to never stop listening to Jesus.
Fullfills Isaiahs prophecy Isa 6:9-10
People become like their own idols who cannot hear
Jesus uses parables to explain the mystery of the Kingdom of God
He teaches the Disicples through Parables while the crowd is there and then when alone with the Disicples he explains the parables
Parables are not ment to make the mystry plain
but to make the mystery a mstery
THe disicples ask him?
Others are ment to come and ask him too, if they do they wil understand but they don’t?
Jesus is quoting Isa
The crowds listenand then went home, But disicples listen and ask why.
They have used their ears.
Why do some open their ears and some close their ears the parable:
