“THE CONVERSATION THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING”

Genesis 3

“It Happened in Paradise” v. 1-6

    • “The Sinner’s Response” v. 7-13

“The LORD’s Response” v. 14-24

Through the disobedience of the first man, Adam, sin came into the world. Consequently, all are sinners by nature and by choice, thus separated from God and deserving of His judgment.

[Romans 5:12-19; 3:9-12, 23 Isaiah 59:2 Ephesians 2:1-3]

- The man and his wife had sinned. Genesis 3:1-6

- How did they respond to this new experience? Genesis 3:7-13

1. The man and his wife felt SHAME, so they __________________________________________. v. 7

2. The man and his wife felt FEAR, so they ____________________________________________. v. 8-10

3. The man and his wife felt GUILT, so they ___________________________________________. v. 11-13

• The first man and woman had the opportunity to experience something else for the first time. They could have chosen __________________________________. [Psalm 32:1-5 Proverbs 28:13 1 John 1:8-10]

• Fact: Not only did we all become sinners because of Adam’s disobedience, we also became people who cover, hide, and blame.

• May each of us choose humility and become people who confess our sins before our holy God.
