As Jesus shows us more of the reality of the Kingdom of God, He encounters opposition from the Pharisees. He shows them that everything changes with His coming. Now is the time to reach out the spiritually sick rather than shun them. Now is the time to celebrate rather than fast in mourning. Now is the time to get back to the heart of the law rather than double down on keeping its letter. We need to see this too, but in a different way, the Pharisees were guilty of legalism but we - lawlessness.
