John 13:21-30 one of their own had just left as a traitor

then Jesus announces he will be leaving them for good John 13:33 ““Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’”

Then he informs them that Peter, the chief among them will deny Jesus 3x’s John 13:38.

We come into Chapter 14 and the disciples are disoriented, confused, & afraid

It’s a big house / Jesus will take you there / Jesus himself will be there / Jesus has prepared it for you!

You’re disoriented, and I am the way.

John 10:9 ““I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” You may be trying to find peace and direction in your life this morning. The answer is Jesus. Quit seeing what your friends or doing or reading self-help books, stop trying to find your way by following the wrong way. Jesus is the only way

John 15:4-7, 9, 10 ““If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:9-10 ““Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” Abide in Jesus & his love by keeping his commandments. He is showing you the way. It is lit up like a landing strip fro you to follow. There is no other way to the Father, there is no other way to the Heaven. Have you obeyed his command to be John 3:5 “Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Yes this is narrow minded but it’s the truth of scripture, the holy writ of God. Are you a part of The Way

Acts 9:2 “and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.” Acts 22:4; 24:14, ““But this I admit to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets;”

You’re confused, and I am the truth.

you need guidance, direction? Jesus will straighten you out, and give you direction if you would listen to him. John 8:32 “and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”” John 8:31 “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;” John 8:36 ““So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” Jesus is the truth, know Jesus , know his word, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” He is full of truth. All truth comes and originates from Him. The reason you are so confused is because you don’t listen to, believe, and trust the truth which is Jesus.

John 8:45 ““But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.”

John 17:17 ““Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”

John 18:37 “Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”” Are you hearing his voice? Are you listening, following, and obedient to His voice?

You’re fearful, and I am the life.

John 1:4-5 “In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” come to the life and you will have no need to fear. 1 John 5:13 “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

John 5:26 ““For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself;” life is in Jesus He is the bread of life, water of life - to experience life giving sustenance you must come to Jesus

John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,” death is no the end for us my friends

1 John 5:11-12 “And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” do you have the Son this morning? Have you come to the Son by believing that he is the Christ the Messiah the anointed king of all? have you confessed that He is the Son of God? Have you repented of your sins? Have you been born of water and the spirit? John 3:36 ““He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.””
