Intro

The Woman and the Dragon

the sun moon and stars- representing many aspects of things which led to the church

pregnant and crying out- the old longing for the coming of the new, that is the savior, the Lord’s Christ

great red dragon- large as in size, suggesting his influence- red as in the color of blood and chaos

seven and ten and seven- he is the complete ideal of the opposition and accusation

sweeping down the stars- causing the angels, those close to the deity, to fall into his opposition with God

waiting for the woman to give birth, that he might devour the child- because he knows that if the savior reigns then the dragon cannot

God protects the child and the woman is hidden from danger

the war of heaven and earth

the dragon and his angels lose and fall to earth

the dragon pursues the woman who is the church or those who follow Jesus, but the dragon never overcomes it
