Ronny Brown Funeral

PS. 90:9— FOR ALL OUR DAYS ARE PASSED AWAY IN THY WRATH; WE SPEND OUR YEARS AS A TALE THAT IS TOLD.

INTRODUCTION

On the behalf of the family I would like to thank you for all you have done,from the food, flowers, visits, prayers and your love.

I would like to thank the family for the privilege and honor to be able to speak at this celebration of life of my friend Ronny Brown.

You know, I have known of Beverly and Ronny for year but in the last 3 or 4 years I have become to know them.

I had the honor to do their 50th renewal of their wedding vows. This is where Ronny told me, It wasn’t hard to get to 50 years, because it was cheaper to keep her.

They had such a great love for each other, that they could pick at each other and mess with each other and just laugh. Several months ago I went to visit them and Ronny told me that Beverly was trying to kill him. Because had brake check him. Beverly said, He doesn’t like to wear his seat belt so I just brake check him.

Ronny said, She threw me up into the dash, this woman is trying to kill me. And they would just laugh.

You have heard so many stories this afternoon and I am sure that this not even half of things that Ronny have done.

In my text today, It tells us that WE SPEND OUR YEARS AS A TALE THAT IS TOLD.

You see, I believe that our life is like a book and it has many different chapters and pages to be read and told.

Many pages have been told this afternoon about Ronny’s life. Most of those pages and chapter in Ronny’s book of life where BC time. Before Christ.

Now I want to tell the rest of the story. Ronny and my relationship started on Television. See Ronny would watch our church services on youtube app.

Beverly started come to our church and Ronny, I am sure Ronny started wondering why does She want to go to that church.

Ronny started after several months Ronny started coming to church service here and there.

Right after service, Ronny would find his way up to me and say Pastor good sermon.

Ronny did not like big crowd but he liked having people over to his house so he asked if we could have connection group over to his house. And we did and things never went back but start going forward.

Cancer came and Ronny want me to come and see him, and we had a long talk Ronny had become a believer in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

We would pray often and would tell me, I walk around on the land and I pray, he would say I pray all the time. God takes care of you!

When test came up and Ronny want to pray and we would pray. I would tell him God will take care of you! And He would said Yes, He does!

Ecc_3:1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

Ecc_3:2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.

You see, there is a time in all our lives, there is chapters and pages that are in the book of our life.

Ronny Brown turn the pages and when into a new chapter in his book of life. Ronny Brown became a child of God.

But as time past and pages turn in that chapter the end of his book on earth came but Ronny Brown just started another chapter.

John 14:1 "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me.

John 14:2 There is more than enough room in My Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

John 14:3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I am.

John 14:4 And you know the way to where I am going."

Ronny Brown put his faith and trust in the hand of God.

God put Ronny’s name in the book of life.

Rev 3:5 All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before My Father and His angels that they are Mine.

So let me leave you with this thought, We are a book and we spending our life every day and our story is being written. We do know that the book has no ending.

We all have everlasting life. Because we are created in the image of God.

Our life has no ending but I want the chapter with I died to be one that begin with victory and announcement that I am the Father God.

That what happen with Ronny Brown is one of victorious one.
