Opening :
I want to encourage you today, my friend. I want to lift up your spirit and bring hope into your life. I know that you have been through some things in the past that brought about fear and doubt, but God is ready for your faith
Eph 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
What is Expectation ?
Expectation - A strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future
You were born with a purpose, and that is to live your life with full expectancy.
If we wish to live our lives with expectancy, the first thing that needs to change is how we approach disappointment.
Many people live their lives with no expectancy. You, on the other hand, are living your life with full expectancy.
This morning I want to offer 4 points on living your life full of expectancy.
God will not give you more than what you can bear. He wants to bless and prosper your life, and He doesn't send problems without a solution.
1. Living your life with full expectation when it comes to signs and wonders
1. Living your life with full expectation when it comes to signs and wonders
Mark 16:17 And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues.
A. Understanding the power of signs and wonders is a great way to live your life. Knowing that miracles can happen, even when you think it's impossible because there are so many obstacles in the way, will help you believe God more
B. When we live with an expectation of signs and wonders, God is able to work through us in a way that's even beyond our understanding.
C. You cannot have an expectancy for signs and wonders if you don't believe that God can do it
D. When we don't believe that God can do it, then there's no point in expecting any signs or wonders.
Heb 3:12 “Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.”
2. Expectation Attracts God’s Voice
2. Expectation Attracts God’s Voice
A. • Those expecting God to speak position their hearts in faith to hear Him.
• Be prepared to hear God speak. Faith inside of you must be made evident.
C. What you expect to hear from God, He will give. If your heart and mind are filled with expectancy, then it is likely that His voice will be heard in ways both big and small throughout your day as well!
john 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
ps 63:1-8 “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
B. We all want to hear God's voice, but it is only through an open and trusting heart that we can expect His word.
We can hear God's voice when we expect to.
D. When it comes to our relationship with God, we should always have expectation. This doesn't mean that we're constantly waiting for something bad to happen or that we're doubtful of His love and care for us; rather, it means that we have faith that He is always with us and that He desires to communicate with us personally. Psalm 145
:18 says, "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." We can take this to mean that we're never too far from God's reach and that He is always willing to communicate with us if we make the effort.
3. Living with full expectation that you are going to have the wildest encounter with the Holy Spirit the rest of this year
A. When you go through life with the full expectation that you are going to have the wildest encounter with the Holy Spirit, something amazing will happen. You will start to live differently. You won't be as concerned with what this world has to offer because you will know that God has something better in store for you. This doesn't mean that you will live a perfect life. You will still make mistakes, but you will know that God is with you through it all.

When you have this expectation, you also start to become more like Jesus. This is because He is the one who called us to have this type of encounter. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." This is what we should be striving for in our lives - to have life to the fullest.

So how do you go about having this type of encounter? It starts with believing that it is possible. God has not called us to a life of mediocrity. He has called us to greatness! Once you believe, you need to start preparing yourself for it. This means getting rid of anything that is standing in the way of your relationship with Him. It might also mean making some changes in your life.
B. The final step is to start expecting it. Don't be surprised if the Holy Spirit starts moving in powerful ways in your life. He is ready to do great things, but He needs people who are willing to partner with Him. Are you ready?
So what are you waiting for? Start expecting the wildest encounter with the Holy Spirit this year! He is waiting for you!
I must live in for expectation that God is going to prosper me when I'm obedient to his will for my life
A. When you live in expectation of God's blessings, you'll be more likely to obey his will for your life. As you sow good seed, you'll reap a harvest of goodness in return. This is the principle of sowing and reaping.
The Bible says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). This means that you'll get back what you put in. If you plant seeds of love, joy, and peace, you'll reap a harvest of those same things. But if you plant seeds of anger, bitterness, and hatred, you'll reap a harvest
B. Greater generosity breaks the back of poverty.
C. You Cannot Out Give God
● Luke 6:38 “give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.””
He gives in the measure you use. If you give to God with a teaspoon He will give to you with a teaspoon also.
● God tests your heart through your willingness to be generous.
D. God Prospers His People
A. Isaac Prospered in Famine
● Isaac reaped 100-fold when there was no water and famine because God was with Him. ● Genesis 26:1, 12 “And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him,”
● Isaac and Abraham’s wealth were directly related to their relationship with God.
● Solomon's riches were directly related to his relationship with God.
● Deuteronomy 8:18 “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 is one of the most quoted verses in the Bible. It's often used to encourage people to remember God in all they do, knowing that he is the one who gives them power and provision. But what does this verse actually mean?
In Deuteronomy 8, Moses is reminding the Israelites of all God has done for them. He has brought them out of slavery in Egypt and into a land where they can be free and prosperous. And he reminds them that it's only because of God's blessings that they are able to have this wealth.
So when we read Deuteronomy 8:18, we should remember that everything we have is a gift from God. We should be grateful for what he has given us and use our wealth to honor him. And we should also remember that everything can be taken away in an instant, so we should always be living for God's glory.
● Israel was wealthy due to the covenant.
● There are some people God wants to make wealthy because of relationship.
Dependence on God
● You should live according to His riches in glory rather than your ability to provide for yourself.
● Even when you have an income, you can trust God to provide more.
Today's Expectation: "My words, thoughts, and imaginations are under the power of Christ. I take all thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. I wake up with purpose, direction, and meaning every day of my life. I bring my best and then some. It’s what I bring after my best that makes the difference!"
