Wait For The Holy Spirit

Luke 24:49 (NKJV) 49 “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Wait- patiently look to, await, wait with a confidence and hope

Dict.stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or event.

Acts 1:6–8 (NIV) 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Is This The End of Days??

Wait Until...

Power- Supernatural, miraculous power, abilities, strength wonderful and abundant in its outworking.

Wait For God- You Have An Appiontment With God Every Day

Moses Waited For The PlanExodus 24:12 (ESV) 12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and wait there, that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”

David Wqaited For Strength- Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)

14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Isaiah Waited for Renewed Strength- Power

Isaiah 40:29–31 (NKJV) 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,

31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Power- strength, ability, might, wealth, vigor, force

Star Wars- “The force is strong in you”

Weary- weary, physically weak, exhausted

Exchange- Weakness for Strength- Weariness For Might, Strength, vigor, Energy
