Genesis 7
Genesis 7
1 Peter 3:20–21 (NKJV)
20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
One can see the role of water and the ark in the salvation of Noah and his family, from the corruption of the world.
At the same time you can see the role of water for the destruction of the ungodly and the unbelievers.
Every living thing that was outside the ark was dead.
There is similarity with the exodus aswell.
This is an antitype of baptism in the N.
Antytype defination:- something that is represented by a symbol.
Noah’s flood is an antitype of Baptism and the ark is antitype of Christ body.
The amount of people saved.
Out of all the people in the earth only eight souls were saved.
Jesus said many are called but few are chosen
Matthew 7:13-14 “13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
1 Peter 4:18 “18 Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?””
We need to realise that this world reserved by the word a waiting its destruction by fire
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,
6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Only those who are in Christ will be delivered from this destruction.

Genesis 8
Verse 20-22
The first thing that Noah does is offer a sacrifice of thangsgiving to God.
God loved the sweet smelling sacrifice and took an oath that he will not destroy the world in such a way again.
Genesis 9
Genesis 9
Verse 8-17
The rainbow as a sign of God’s covenant
The gay pride movement and the rainbow is a mockery of the covenant God has made.
They may not realise it, The devil who is behind it knows full well what he is doing. He is using this symbol of God’s covenant in not destroying mandkind for his wickedness by a flood, as a way to mock him and provoke him.
Verse 18-27 Noah curses his sons.
One Ham had to respect Noah because he was his father, He was not to speak nor take pleasure in the shame of his father. He was to honor his father by respectfully covering his shame just like the other brothers.
Secodnly, Noah is a prophet, He has the anointing of God upon his life. The reason why Noah blessing and Cursed was established by God was because of the anointing oil that is upon him.
Numbers 22:6 (NKJV)
6 Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”
Therefore, we have to be careful when we are in the House of God, when we see the weakness of the man of God, in anyway shape or form. We have no right to either speak ill of them, nor speak of their shame in very contemptable way.
23 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”
24 So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the Lord. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
Elisha’s curse at the mockery of his boldness by the youth proofed to be fatal.
For those who dishonour the men of God, are dishonoured.
Those who honour the men of God, are honoured. Irrespective of their weaksness
When we see their weakness, understanding that on their heads is the anointing of God, we have to be reverent, repsectable. Restrain our lips lest we procure on ourselves judgement from God.
1 Samuel 26:9 (NKJV)
9 But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against the Lord’s anointed, and be guiltless?”
We must not assume that we can exercise the freedoms we have in this world, in the church or in the Kingdom of God.
