Let Go and Let God

Introduction
Their are so many distractions that we experience on a daily basic, that we are not able to enjoy the life that is in Christ Jesus. We become drain from the cares of this world that we find ourselves drifting away from God.
Paul said that we need to lay aside every weight. Weight means mass weight or burden. In order for a Christian to experience the freedom in Christ he must cast aside whatever distraction that keep his focus from God. You must let it go and give it to God.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
We must not allow anything to come into our lives that will put a hamper to our progression or growth in the Lord.
Know this you are not the only Christian who have faced pitfalls. The problem with many believers that when difficulty comes into their lives they believe that they are the only ones been through it. The Hebrew writer said that we have so great a cloud of witnesses. We have spectators on the side line cheering us on to come out victorious. These are Christians who have been where you been and some even died for the cause of Jesus Christ.
The bible said we are strengthen by each others testimonies.
Notice the Hebrew writer did not define what weight we need to lay aside. The weight could be your job, it could be your relationship or things you take on of others. Let it go and give it to God. If not it could lead you to a life of sin. Paul said that we need to run with patience, the race that is set before us. The word run means we have to be in it for the long haul, it’s not time for us quitting on God. Jesus endured the cross so that we will not grow weary or lose hope. To endure this christian race their will be some bumps in the road that will try to get you to deviate from God’s course.
The race that is set before us is the conflict or battles we must overcome to stay on the path of God. We must yield to God’s purpose and plans for our lives.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
When we find ourselves out of the will
of God, God have to show his mercy towards us by disciplining us. We need to understand that God Discipline is not out to hurt us, but to make us better. I have not seen any of us shedding any blood from God’s whippings. This is the time where we need to be firm in God’s word, because its not time to be toss back and forth with every wind of doctrine.
If God is correcting you, you’re his child, but if he allowing you to do what you want to do without any discipline, then you’re bastards, and not son’s.
We must Let Go and Let God be to us , like he was to his son Jesus Christ and that was a Father. We must reflect on the benefits that comes with perseverance. We must recognize that discipline represents God’s method of developing our spiritual maturity. We must examine ourselves daily so that we can root out those things in our lives that hinder us from spiritually growing. What’s in your life distracting you from spiritual development.
