Dedication to Jesus is not an out for being a jerk

Matthew 5:21–26 ESV
21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. 23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. 26 Truly, I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.
Do not murder - congratulations
You have heard, but I say

Anger Leads To Murder

Anger leads to murder - Ukraine
Random Murders
Anger with your brother (fellow disciple) - The type of anger:
Insult = Raka - “empty-headed” “You nobody”
Stripping them of their identity (image of God)
Fool = Moros / moron
Moros is the Greek God of impending doom. Should any of the humans be in store for an unpleasant fate, it is Moros who leads them there. Often, this means that the human will die or be fiercely injured. It could also mean that the human may lose a family member or loved one. Or, if they were rich, they could also lose all of their money. If any unfortunate event was before them, the Greek God Moros would help craft their path, so that the human followed it to their sad fate.
Hell of fire - eternal judgment
Well, how important is this?

vs 23 - Don’t Be A Jerk - Go Apologize!

Own your mistakes.
Galilee - 100 miles to Jerusalem (walking to Lansing) 30ish hours of walking
Human instantiations hold you accountable for money - God will hold you accountable for the intent of your heart.
If you don’t see the image of God in someone else you are murdering them.
Seeing the beauty in others brings real relationship to the sacrifice.
