The Bottom Line:

Reach Out to Jesus, Believe and find Life in His Name.

Notes:

7 things Christ’s resurrection gains for us:

14 And if Christ has not been raised,

1. our preaching is useless

[therefore, our preaching is useful]

2. and so is your faith. (cf. v.17)

[therefore our faith is useful]

15 More than that,

3. we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.

[therefore we are not false witnesses and Christ is raised from the dead]

17 And if Christ has not been raised,

4. your faith is futile (cf. v.14); you are still in your sins.

[therefore are not still in our sins]

5. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.

[therefore those who have fallen asleep in Christ are not lost]

6. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ,

[therefore we have hope for the life to come.]

7. we are to be pitied more than all men.

[therefore we are to be admired/honored more than anyone]

1 Corinthians 15:14-19 (NIV)
