Psalm 34:19 AV
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
It’s Nothing Like An Afflicted Blessing
A Handbook on the Book of Psalms (Psalm 34:19–20)
In verse 19a afflictions means troubles, difficulties, bad things, sufferings, misfortunes. A translation can say “Many bad things happen to good people.”
If We can be honest some of us didn’t truly surrender to God until an affliction came that Jack Daniels, Sex, Weed and Pills couldn’t fix.
And If we can keep it 100, Some of us are being afflicted and we still don’t want to surrender..
But This is What i have learned in my short Christian journey, Your going to stay right where you are until you give God what he wants
But We talking about being Righteous and being afflicted So we talking about (AC) not (BC)
(After Christ) i stopped fornicating, stopped Smoking, stopped popping pills and stopped running.
You would think i should be worry free, no issues, no problems.. Cause i’m on the Lords side RIGHT?
WRONG
Job 36:8–10 NLT
8 If they are bound in chains and caught up in a web of trouble, 9 he shows them the reason. He shows them their sins of pride. 10 He gets their attention and commands that they turn from evil.
Ask your neighbor
Has your affliction gotten your attention yet
Acts 14:22 (NKJV)
22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
You must go through Many tribulations
2 Timothy 3:12 AV
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Hebrews 11:33–38 (NLT)
33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.
35 Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection.
36 Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons.
37 Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated.
38 They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.
Hebrews 12:5–10 NLT
5 And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. 6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” 7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? 8 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. 9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? 10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

The righteous suffer afflictions because they are so imperfectly righteous. They need purging, purifying, chastening, to rid them of the dross and defilement of sin which still clings to them, and from which they are never wholly freed while they continue in the flesh. “We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”

Dross—the impurities of silver separated from the ore in the process of melting
Acts 14:22 (AV)
22 b) we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

We must, like the Captain of our salvation, be “made perfect through suffering

But the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Psalms (Vol. I) (Psalm 34)
When they have done their appointed work of purging, purifying, instructing, improving, or whatever else their work may be, God removes the afflictions with which he has visited us or allowed us to be visited, ultimately, when he takes us to himself, mercifully delivering us “out of them all.”
A Handbook on the Book of Psalms (Psalm 34:19–20)
Delivers in verse 19b translates the same verb used in verse 7. The thought is not that Yahweh does not allow bad things to happen to good people, but that he does not let them be defeated or destroyed by them.
Tell 3 People Your Struggle didn’t come to kill you, it came to strengthen you...
Thats why some of us have learned how to be strong in the struggle..
I can’t give up, I won’t give up..
Run up to the alter if you need the Lords Strength in your struggle.. (let’s pray)
“We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
