The Resurrection of the Two Witnesses, Revelation 11:11
Revelation 11:11–12
And after the three and a half days, a breath of life out from God entered into them and they stood upon their feet and great fear fell upon the ones watching them. And they heard a great voice out from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” and they ascended into the heaven in the cloud and their enemies watched them.
A Breath of Life
There are Two Passages that Use Spirit and Life together, but not in the same way, Romans 8:6; Romans 8:10
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
Spirit is often used for breath, Luke 23:46; 2 Thessalonians 2:8
Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last.
Entered Into
There is a textual issue here that is solved by examining the normal use of the Greek Language
Most translations interpret this correctly even with the textual issue
By Ignoring it
ἐν is never used with entering into something. It refers to among when used with the plural
είς is the normal way to express entering into, Acts 14:20
Acts 14:20 (NASB95)
