Ezekiel 38-39 - Introduction
If you have your Bibles this morning turn with me. If you will as a threatened last week. We're going to the Book of Ezekiel chapter 37 and chapter are chapter. 38 chapter 39 rather. We have in this portion of scripture, the Battle of Gog, and Magog. This Battle of Gog and Magog will indicate to us the time frame for the Rapture of the church. That is extremely close is not going to tell us. When this going to take place. We do not know when that's going to take place. In fact, scripture tells us that Jesus says he doesn't even know when that time will take place only the father. So when the father says the Jesus, go get my children. Listen, you better be ready. You better be ready cuz he's coming and those of us who know him and those who of us, who trust him. He's going to he's going to take us with him forever to be with him.
There's a lot of things going on in the world around us. Have you noticed? Bombs are being dropped in other parts of the world.
Families are are fighting and complaining and trials and tribulations are all around us. Death and dying. Is all around us. This week's been one of those weeks for Patrick lied. I'm not telling you that for sympathy. I'm not after your sympathy. I knew what God had in store for me. When I Got into the ministry. I knew what it entailed. But, Tuesday, we went to Tully. New York to do the funeral service for Leslie. Sanderson's mom. So keep them in prayer. This Anderson family. Leslie's dad, Bob. the new life for him, 67 years of marriage to his wife and They buried her. Did the service the other day. Yesterday for those who know or may not know, I did the service for the girl that had been missing in the area, Morgan Bates. Ministered to family and friends, a multitude of people who come through. 20 year old, an almost 88 year-old Tuesday. A twenty-year-old yesterday. What does that tell us? That tells us that we don't really know when our last day is. Brighten, a lot of things can come into play a lot of things can happen. In fact, if you listen to the news, the last few weeks. There's been a lot of death and dying people getting hit by cars and other car accident things going on. That sometimes would make a stop and say, God, what in the world are you doing? Why? And as I was asked that question yesterday by somebody, why would a loving God allow something like this to happen? My answer which I've asked answered that two other people at other times. If I don't know if I could answer that question, if I could write a book to answer, why God does things the way he does? And be a bestseller and I'd be a multi-millionaire and I might not be here in front of you. Today. I would hope I would because I share the money with you. But we don't know why. God does what he does, what we do know is that he is a sovereign God and that doesn't always help doesn't. It doesn't help knowing that. He's a sovereign God because we still want to know why he does these things. We don't know but what we do know by reading through his word, that he's got a purpose. He's got a plan. And if we adhere to his purpose. If we adhere to his plan, we're going to we're going to be in good shape. But if we don't, if we don't adhere to his plan, we're in trouble.
In the days of Noah. God looked down upon the Earth. He saw what was going on in the days of Noah. And he said it's not good. Every man is doing that, which is good in his own eyes.
I look around the world that you and I live in today. And I would dare say that God is looking down upon this world today saying it's not good. Every man is doing that, which is good in his own eyes. How we may know what the Bible says? We may know that God has a purpose and a plan, but don't we just wouldn't want to do it our way. Yours might like buying that. Package Shed from a lumber yard and you bring it home and you begin to put a get together. There's instructions. But you might not like reading instructions and you might decide to start putting it together. You're on the way. You might get some of it, right? You might get all of it, right? But I guarantee you, there's going to be something in there that they're going to just change up just to mess with you.
You should have cut this board, a third off of it and kept the other two thirds. Then you wouldn't have to go by that other. Piece of plywood for 80 bucks or whatever. It is anymore. Is just a crazy world. We live in but we want to do things our way. Yes, we know that if we follow God, he's The guy that he's going to the directors, he's going to help us in and we call out to him when we need that help. But when we think we got it under control.
How often do we call out to him? We're here today for a reason and for a purpose and that's the worship. We can worship and we should worship outside of the walls of this church. We ought to be worshiping everyday. That's a part of what we are. We don't have to come to church to worship. We come to church for fellowship and that's part of our worship. Why is it so that we can minister to one another so that we can help those around us? That's what we talked about a little bit last week with Jesus washing the disciples feet. And when he saying this he said okay Peters as well or just wash my feet. That's not what it's not about you. It's about others. It's about you being the servant to others as Jesus as being the servant to you. We don't really like serving Bowie. We want to be sure you want to go some place. You want to go stand in line for 15 minutes, okay? But if you got to stand in line for my children that you get a little bothered by that, you can little worried by that.
You got to stand in line with a group of six kids for an hour. We did that a couple weeks back.
But it was late. We were hungry. The kids were hungry and you stand in line. And the kids are there, doing what kids do for an hour waiting to eat?
But when we're all said and done, you know what happened, people came up to us and said, hey. Your kids were very well behaved and I'm not talking my own kids. I'm talking my grandkids, my kids, or my kids are older. They better be well, be the grandkids are a different story. Your kids are all very well behaved for the time that they had to wait to be seated and we will thank you. And a few people told us that is they walked by and very appreciative I guess. Sometimes we as Christians are not very well behaved and that true. We don't always follow God, we do, we do what we think is, right? And sometimes when we do, what we think is right. It is not what God wants. They did that in the Bible, every man did that which was right where and his own eyes. Here in chapter 38, in chapter 39 of Ezekiel, God's people. Are going to have enemies. Did you know that? I think we can see that someone in their own Nation. Nick. There are those who do not like, people who call themselves. Christians. There are those who do not like, people who call themselves Believers born, again, whatever term, you want to use a follower of Jesus that's been happening for years and years and years. That's going to take place until the very establishing of the kingdom. When the king. Text control. When the king of kings and Lord of lords takes over. Karen Ezekiel chapter, 38 chapter 39, describes a coalition of Gentile nations in the latter days and things that are going to take place who those nations are. And I'm going to warn you that this is just an introduction. If it goes like it didn't only serve as just an introduction. We don't get too deep into a. So next week will share some more but I think it's pertinent with what's going on around us. It's pertinent with what's happening around the world. Is the Inn near, Maybe? I don't know. I'm 62 years old. I've been told for 62 years, the Lord's coming back soon. When is soon? I don't know. Going to be today. Could be tomorrow God's in control of all of that. But here's what. I also know, I could meet the Lord today without him coming back. He could take me out of here. None of us. None of us here this morning. Have a guarantee of tomorrow. What we have is a guarantee of the moment that we live in right now that the time right here to worship Him and serve him. And God is using us and wants to use us as his mouthpiece as his service. To whomever we come into contact with. Worship is not something we just do on a Sunday. Morning worship is something we ought to be doing as children of God, all of our lives. Every moment of Our Lives. but yet, we live in a world that sort of focus is our worship away, gets our eyes off of the things of the Lord, and on the things of the world, and Those things began to overwhelm has. I happen to be in Bennington Vermont. Yesterday, was there for the service? For Morgan Bates? Gas was 389. Guess what I did. I fill my car. Up my truck up. Half a tank of gas. It's that's a lot of savings. $0.30 cheaper than it is here for gal. There you go. Is it worth me know? But if I'm going to say $30. Damn, I'm already there. I might as well fill up, right? There goes some of our New York, taxes. I'm not paying because I help. That's all right.
Guess what? Before it's all said and done before the Lord comes back. It's going to get worse. Scripture tells us that it's going to get worse. You will be spending a day's labor, a day's wage. For a loaf of bread.
How does that sound? Go figure out how much you earn on a daily basis. And that's what a loaf of bread. It's going to cost according to the word of God In The End. That's a lot of money. It's a lot of money now, isn't it? Compared to what? I used to remember when you used to really get a loaf of bread. Remember when you really used to get a gallon or half gallon of ice cream?
The prices didn't change the sizes of gotten smaller prices have gone up since then. and we can play in and we argue, but we buy it because it's something that's
brings a little Comfort ice cream or whatever it is. You like that brings Comfort to you. We like to complain. Have you noticed that? we like to complain about our neighbors being too loud or do noisier. You ugly? I don't know. You just complain. You Name It. We complain about everything anymore. We don't like it. We're going to complain about it.
God's people. Does people need to be different especially in these last days because we need to strive to draw people to our self. No, we don't need a job to us. We need to draw them to Jesus. But if he's innocent, we're showing for that light. We're going to draw them to him.
I met someone. For the first time. This week. And maybe for the last time, I may never ever see them again. I don't know.
I had a situation that I needed help with.
So somebody who may have been in the mail, came to me and said, what what do you need? I need this. Listen, this song. Well, my husband knows how to do that. He should be here. Where is he? So she gets on her phone. She starts calling her husband. He's not here. He's late. You know, why? Because he's a man.
And that's exactly what I did. I just turned because he's a man. I guess women can't be late.
We're not going to take a census this morning, guys, because it's like, All of a sudden. I felt sorry for that guy.
You know I'm saying. This is her husband. I don't even know him. And he's not here now. It's not late yet, but the hurt was and boom. There it went. So now, I'm interested to find out who her husband is. So I'm watching to see. Who sets with her, who's there? Because here's what we need to do. The same thing about women women. It said the same thing about guys about their spouses. Christians have said those things about Christians back and forth. But guess what, when we ask you that kind of stuff out. It doesn't just make that person look bad. The moment that came out of her mouth, I just turned on. I did. I deliberately turned and walked away is like Why did that even need to be said? Let me just find, my husband will take care of it. Good. Maybe there's something more going on and I don't, I don't know, but sometimes we think we say things and we do things that push people away. It's with a drawing them to the savior.
Our world. Is no stranger to that kind of talk or that kind of action. Our world is no stranger to war.
It's been around. We've heard about a scripture talks about in the last days are going to be wars and rumors of War. There's going to be a earthquake. You're going to be floods, is going to be fired or going to be pandemics.
Is any of that happening? Have you been involved in any of that stuff is going to be death? Is going to be dying. All this stuff is going to be there and Cancers and sicknesses.
God's got a purpose. He's got a plan for all of us. He wants us to trust him. No matter what follow along as we read in verses 1 through verse 7 of Ezekiel chapter 38, there's some places that are mentioned here that I'm going to sort of break him down and let you know some of these place, you may not understand where they are or who they are, but we'll talk about that this morning a little bit. Then I'm going to share with you. I'm sitting here preaching. This this morning. I'm thinking about. This is boring. This is ridiculous. Nobody's going to like this, but I don't know how many people went outside. Thank you for that. I needed to hear that. So, what's the word of God? Here we go. First one. The word of the Lord came to me saying, son of man, set your face against dog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, meshech, and tubal and prophesy against him. And say that says the Lord God behold I am against you. You don't want that happening, right? Law says the Lord God behold. I am against you old dog, the prince of Rosh, meshech and tubal. I will turn you around. Put hooks into your jaws and leaves you out with all your army, horses and Horsemen. All splendidly clove a great company with Buckler's and shield. All of them handling swords. Persia Ethiopia, Libya are with them. All of them was shield and helmet Gomer and all of its troops togarmah from the far north and all its troops. Many people are with you prepare yourself, be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you and be a guard for then.
So here we are today. We sang that song, Here we are to worship. One of the ways that we can worship God, the best way is by being a guard for others. One of the ways that we can worship God. The best way is being that Watchman on the wall, that Watchman on the wall that guard for others. Has a duty has a responsibility. To let others know when danger is coming. The Watchman on the wall, his job was, if something was coming he is to yell it out and scream until they know trouble is coming and if he fell asleep on the job, if people lost their lives, his life was in at stake for not doing his job. What I like about this is what it says. It gives me a promise that no matter what goes on in our life, what whatever goes on in the world around us. God still in charge. He's taking care of it. So, do I want my trust in the things of the world? Do I want my trust in the men of the world? The women of the world? Or do I want my trust in God? I'm going to go with God. I said that last week. Me and God were a majority. You and got here a majority. Trust God. He will never fail. You. We don't always think that's true. We see what's going on in the world around. We think. Maybe God has let us down in the loss of a loved one or loss of finances or jump. What? Help whatever it might be God. Why have you let me down?
But not one of us here this morning. Can say that we've had a total job moment in our life. Nobody can say this morning that we've lost everything. We lost our well. We lost our children. We lost our friends. Drove through it all trust in God. Did he not? And yet his friends are coming. Are they hang out with him for a week? Old, forge, Old Forge, open till they got tired of old for. Jobin. An okay job. They're sending your life admit it and God bless you. The thing is jobs at down in sackcloth and Ashes before his friends, even showed up. The thing is each and every day. Joe would offer sacrifices to his God, for his children, for their sins, knowing that they probably messed up. So I'm going to offer a sacrifice for them.
he was being The Godly father that he needed to be, it was costing him each and every day for his children and yet God allows is all this thing to come and you know, I got, you know why God allowed that? Not because Joe was a wicked man. Because God and Satan had a conversation.
thank God and seen her talking and God has the Satan. Well, hey, you know what? Or seen since I got that. I can turn people away from me. And God says, we'll have you considered my servant job. What if your name was in there? I can turn people away from me. Maybe considered my servant Clyde. Well, I would, but you got this hedge of protection about it. I'll remove that hedge of protection and you can do whatever you want to to my servant. Except take his life. Can't kill him. Pain sorrow stopping. Yes, it's all going to be there. And we know how that work that you read the rest of story. We see what happened to us to Joe. We see the time that he spent in prayer with his God. You see the time that his friends gathered around and trade with him for a. Of time and then got sick and tired of praying for him. And that's how we are sometimes. We're not willing. The girl that second week of that, second mile of that second step for those around us. And we wonder why our world is in the way it is. But what I read here in these first seven versus 46 versus is that God. Is in control. I will turn you around. I will take care of you. You do guard, your people. Moms and dads. How are we doing today? At guarding our people, how we doing with that? Are we allowing things into the house, or into the lives of those around us? I just looking the other way. Got a guard. The heart's. Got a guard. The hearts. But yesterday, I had an older lady asked me. Why does God allow all this to happen? I said, I don't know. I can't answer that. Not meant to answer that but I know that God is sovereign. And I had a little six-year-old boy named Michael, who came up to me and said, hey, I'd like to say something and I asked him what he would like to say, and he told me at the end of the service, he standing up there with me and I forgot. That he wanted to say something. To get wrapped up in what you're doing. It's easy to forget stuff, right? Yes. He's right there with me.
But maybe that was a God thing too, because maybe what, he had to say as a six-year-old, might not have been appropriate. Pastor. How can you judge it? Because I asked him what he wanted to say. Maybe God allowed me to forget because what he was going to say.
Some adults may not a light.
But what does Jesus say about the children? Suffer. The little children to come unto me for such is the kingdom of heaven, forbid, them not. Pastor. Claude, you forbid that little now, I think I protected my time. I'm going to my heart. If you want to judge go ahead and charge. But I'm I'm go to my heart because I know what he wanted to say. When the band. Maybe as appropriate as it should have been. C 6 year olds, don't always think. Before they speak. Guess what? 60 year olds don't always think. Before they say, thank you.
Talking about me. You don't always think we just We got it out and let it land where it lands. Now. Sometimes I see people doing that with our $10 for that, so that I can do that and I'm going to get nothing. Just a mess. They will pass her. Where are we? Here is where we are looking at several elements here, in this Battle of God and between dog and may God, that I want to share with you. I've got written down here. The battle that we had before a chapter 38, the battle was prophesied in Ezekiel here, in chapter 38, in chapter 9 in in and of itself. This is not significant understand as many battles, including Armageddon have been prophesied over time in scripture. What makes his battle significance of is that first it gives us a list of the major Nations involved. The battle was prophesied some twenty-six hundred years ago. It's a battle that is specifically related to last day prophecy. The enormous armies that will be involved in this battle. The size of the army, attacking Israel can only be defeated by direct intervention of God. You understand that? The size of the army attacking Israel can only be defeated by the direct intervention of God. We've got battles at Israel have been with has been involved in before. That they would say they don't know how they won the battle. But the others battling them was a hay week. We were coming to attack you and we saw behind you this. Thing as if your God was there and they would jump out of their tanks and run the other direction.
My God can do that. How about your God? Remember last time we talked about first going to take on the the Philistines by themselves? We talked about that. And Wednesday night, bible study. Falls over here, amassing an army. This gets 1000 1000, and then we'll go battle to fill the seat. But as he's a massing is on me, trusting in the men that he's gathering for the battle. He hear something going on up there. Who says, Hey, give account how many of our guys are still here? Who's up there battling? And they come back after they took account of all the guys, everybody's here, except for Jonathan and his armor Bearer. Huh? Jonathan his armor Bearer over here. Getting ready to take on the the Philistines and they say to each other. Listen. Here's what we're going to know. We're going to see if God's going to direct us almost a. Hey, we're down here. And if they say come up, we'll know that God wants us to come up. But if they say stay there, then we'll know that God wants us to stay here. So, they're there. They call up to the pillows. He's a filthy. Come on up. If you think you can beat us and come on. Okay, let's go. Saws over here with us, thousands and thousands and thousands of military men. Jonathan and his armor Bearer or over here. With God. They go up. They battle. They win. And guess what, what takes place in the midst of the battle? An earthquake. An earthquake which only affected the Philistines and then all of a sudden, they're all worried. They're all concerned. They're all scared and they begin turning on one another because they jump out of their tents in the middle of this trial and tribulation. They see somebody coming with him with a sword and they battle that guy and they kill their own men. My God can do that. My God has done that and I believe that my God can do that again. Because he's the same yesterday today and forever. Whatever. It is in your life that you're battling. Whatever it is in your life that you're fighting with. God, can take care of it. If we give him control. The problem is we don't trust him. Not every day. There's been a lot of death and dying in our area in the last couple of weeks. Have you noticed heavy, listen to the news? People getting hit by cars.
People getting hit while they're working on the side of the road. People running off the road and losing their, it's over and over just in our our area multitude a multitude of lives being lost.
what if it was one of our own and foursome in here, this morning has been What if it was somebody that you were close to? Are you guarding their lives? Like the Watchman on the wall? You prepared for what's to come? All these people, all these things that are going on the enormous, armies can only to be be defeated by a direct intervention of God because there's no other explanation for the results in the battle. I know that this is not a war worse, can happen over a. Of time, with many venues a battle. This battle happened at one time and on one venue. In fact, probably the one thing comparable to this battle would be the battle of Armageddon. But this is a Gog and may God battle. I want to point this out.
This battle more than any other battle in history. Will display the sovereignty of God? Is your god. Sovereign, if he is and you say okay? I know what God says is true. I will trust him. It's not his fault when things don't go the way. We think it ought to go. The thickness of pain, the sorrow of the suffering in this world is not because God's a terrible God. It's because we as a people maybe not individually. But we as a people do not follow him. We as a people do not. Trust him the way we should our nation. So what others are doing around as if they are not Believers. Yes, it can affect us. And it does Adam and Eve their disbelief Disobedience to God affected off today. Send entered into the world and because of that sin death comes into the world.
And death is not a respecter of persons, Our Lives. Look at the obituaries that you can read each and every day and find out the ages of these people who died. This is not a respecter, God allows that to happen. Then God takes death away from, I believe in my own life that God has done that for me. Maybe a couple of times in my life. Once, when I was 4 months of age. I wasn't supposed to live. Here I am. Another time in my life. A riding motorcycles. Things happen probably shouldn't survived it. But I did got rear-ended on the highway doing 55 miles an hour by a pickup truck with somebody on the back of my motorcycle. Me and him. I'll come back later, survived with a few scrapes. It happens. You get. Praise God. Thank you, God. That could have been so much worse than what it was, but then families, die people, die, loved ones, dying. We're not prepared for that. What we what are we going to look at today? Here concerning this battle or as I said the countries involved, and if I don't get rolling, we're not going to get there. Ezekiel has very specific about many of the countries involved in this prophecy. One of them is May God, who is May God, we heard of Gog and Magog. According to the Jewish historian, Josephus. The Ancients Cynthia ends inhabited the land of Magog. They were a northern nomadic tribes inhabited territory from Central Asia, across the southern parts of modern Russia. It would include the following countries and I'm going to murder some of these countries. The way I tried to say I'm but kazakistan. Forgive, Zia ubekistan. Turkmenistan Tajikistan in Afghanistan, we've heard of them and back. We have missionaries in Tajikistan that we support as a church over there, ministering to the people. Sometimes having The Hideout in their houses, as they have church because the authorities are trying to close them down. Then we have rosh. This is common thought of among the scholars name that we won't get into it today, but Roshes modern-day, Russia. Modern-day Russia, Michigan to lure. It identified an ancient history with machete in the tribal, the table of Assyrians. In the most, Jackie in the Siberia of the Greeks, who inhabited the territory that is now part of the nation of turkey thigh. You begin to look at these names that you were married and say why? I don't know who that is. Modern day, if you just study that a little further and I'm not saying just Google it. Sometimes you can Google something and Google is way off on biblical things, understand that. You're good, concordance, a good dictionary and find some things. Persia. There's no doubt about the identity of this country and helps. It's held his name until March of 1935 when it became the nation of Iran. Push. This word is often translated Ethiopia and I want to stop right there and share something about Ethiopia. Years ago, when my wife and I made two trips to Israel, but one of those trips to Israel, we were behind a group from Ethiopia. They would go into a place with a church. Something that was built for worship a place together and we would be standing outside waiting for our group to get in once their group left, but they would be in that church. They would be worshipping in song. Couldn't tell you a word that they said. But the music was beautiful as we're standing outside. Now, you get a guide, your guides may not be a Christian.
Our guy last time was not Boaz. I said to Boaz 1 days of Boaz. How did you become a Christian? His question, back to me. He was Secret Service. Israeli. Army retired. This question back to me was, are you asking have I become a Christian? Or are you asking when will I become a Christian? I'm like, you tell me.
He said my mother was a Christian. My father was not, he never told me where he stood. Boaz has since died. Don't never be able to meet him again unless he was a Christian and I'll see him in heaven. but if you are a Christian, you should be letting other people know. Nothing to be ashamed of. You shouldn't be ashamed.
Trust God if y'all can trust God, if others can trust God to guide them in the right, then we can trust God by saying. Hey, you know what? I'm a believer. I'm a child of God and if we're going to say it and guess what? We need Deliverance. Well, what does that look like? I think in our heart, we know. In our hearts, we know what we should be doing or what we shouldn't be doing for God. I'm not here to say. Hey, you got to live like I love, you don't want to live like I live your life. I mean there might be missing pieces of my life that you wouldn't mind living like I wouldn't know what those would be. There might be bits and pieces of your life that I wouldn't mind living life, but that's not what we're not here to live. Like each other. We're here to live like Christ as he guides us and asks you directly, but guess what? He's made us all individuals. Amen. Free moral agents. That's what gets us in trouble. That's what got add, Adam, and Eve in trouble than that all passed down upon us. That's why it's important for us to be the guards of those, in our household, The Watchman on the wall.
Egypt is one of these places extending down past modern city of Khartoum, the capital of modern-day Sudan. Put The name of what we find here in these passages is clear from ancient sources that put was a North African nation from the ancient. Babylonian Council Josephus, noted that Doma rights were identified with the Galatians and they would inhabit, what is known as modern-day Central turkey today? Beth togarmah. This country is in its origin Central parts of what is called turkey. Tony's or nation that we know your nation that we know about today. We see what's going on in some of these places.
Ezekiel's also clear on to other aspects of Nations. He clearly states that they will There will be other nations involved, but they remain unnamed. Why do you think God does that? God doesn't tell us everything. He tells us enough that we need to know where we need to stand, but he doesn't tell us everything why. Because right now as 1st Corinthians 13 says we live. We look through a glass dimly. If we thought we could figure it all out. People be right in the end. They already way, right? And dates. And when all of this is going to take place and people going to sell everything off and go live up on the mountain. Wait for the Lord to return? No, Minister to those around you until he comes use the things that God has given you the benefits of life that the jobs of all the technology that you to minister to those around you. Yes, there's days. I wouldn't mind climbing up on a mountain. Selling everything off and just go living. There are days. But after about two days of that, I'm bored stiff. I need to get back down to reality with people. And guess what? Sometimes reality stinks. Amen. When our focus is on the wrong things. But when our focus is on the Lord, when we worship him cuz here we are to worship. Not one another, not our possession. We're here to worship the creator of The Sovereign, god of the world. And when we do that, We're blessed. There's peace. There's contentment in our hearts and our lives. Follow along as read verses 7 through 11 will get me to where we were in the early service this morning.
We'll look at this Battle of God and may God in verses 7 through verse 11 or chapter 38. He says, prepare yourself. Are you prepared? Be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you and be a guard for them. After many days. You will be visiting the latter years. You will come into the land of those. Brought back from The Sword and gathered from many on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They were brought out of the Nations and now all of them, dwell safely. You will listen coming like a storm, concerning the land, like a cloud, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you. Thus, says the Lord God on that day, shall come to pass. That fox will arise in your mind and you will make an evil plan. You will say, I will go up against the land of unwalled, villages. I will go to a peaceful people who dwell safely, all of them dwelling Without Walls and having neither bars. Nor Gates. We also know that. Israel. It's going to stand alone. Have you noticed, how is yours been standing alone for quite a while? Yes, we've always heard it and we as a nation, have been praying for Israel. We need to continue to pray for Israel. The word of God tells us to do that, our nation at points. Want to turn their back on Israel, and we know we better not. Cuz I'm moment we turn her back on Israel. We turn her back on God.
It's not a light thing. We need to continue daily, if we knew. If we knew everything that Israel went through on a daily basis from other countries, trying to destroy them. We don't get it in the nose would be amazed. Give me close with this illustration. Once again, our our guide Boaz tells us as we go out to our visit on a daily basis. Listen, if I tell you guys to get back in the bus, get back in the box. If we need to leave a place. We need to leave a place immediately. There's a reason. Many times I knew ahead of time whether to go to a place or not. They knew something was happening that the news would be showing up at and that one spot. I remember we're in Bethlehem in the news cameras, begin to show up and I'm getting a little nervous cuz he already told us cuz I'm like, okay, what's going on? And we just get a shirt over to another area. I don't know exactly what was going on that they must not have been anything serious, but God protects his own. When we put our faith and trust in him, what does that mean? Does that mean that Pastor Clyde? Because he's, a child of God is not going to get hurt or will not? We'll know, you know, that some years ago. I fell off a 10-foot ladder right here. I got hurt. I bounced and it hurts the first one hurting the second one hurt.
That doesn't mean we're not going to have trials and tribulations, we will. But through all of that. Who walks beside us? Who walks with us and who sometimes carries us when we need to be carried? My God, guards yourself. Prepare yourself for what's to come in? This is what this chapter 38 and chapter 39. As we look at it again next week, what? It's helping us to understand. Hopefully a little bit of what's to come. We don't understand at all. We, we aren't meant to understand at all. That's God's understanding.
But until then trust him to guide, you and judge whether it's health issues, whether it's financially at the issues, with his family issues people, whatever it might be. Trust God. And do. What he would do. You know what? I'm thankful for. I'm thankful that before I even accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. He already sent his son to the Cross to forgive me. Oh, that didn't save me. Jesus going to cross did not save me until I said yes to him. But once I said yes to him, I became a child of God and now my responsibility to share that word with people that I come into contact with there's multitude of ways of doing that. For some people you need to do by 4.
For others, you just need a soft word or just live your life so they can see Christ in you. But if you're not saying anything. That's where we've been on some Nation for many years. Stand up, speak up. Be what God wants you to be why? Because me and God. Or a majority. And if you ain't got the majority and me and God's a majority. Guess what? We do win in the end. Amen. Father. We thank you. We. Thank you for your word. We thank you for your guidance. We thank you for your direction. I stopped is this message this morning is to get across and to share father. I pray that you would use it as we go forth. Looking at the plans that you have for your people, the things which are to come things that we don't want to think about or talk about because we don't like to talk about war. We don't like to talk about destruction or Devastation, but it's all around us. People died. Lives are destroyed. Lives are changed and yet you're still God. Help us to trust you through it. All regardless of what we may be going through today. Trust you to guide us and direct will give you the praise in Jesus name.
