I’m Ready Now 2 Timothy 4:6-8 teaches talks and tells us 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

To begin with brothers and sisters , saints of God and to this Bereaved Family we are here to celebrate the life of Brother Henry Banks. Brother Banks was a faithful member of this Shiloh Church and loyal to the usher ministry.But there was a leak in this old building and I heard brother Banks saying my soul have got to move. He heard his name called from the heaven role. And just life the timely soldier he was when he heard God’s voice he stood at attention. ATTENTION!!! Hush somebody’s calling my name and I’m ready. So I imagine Brother Banks saying If tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes filled with tears for me,I wish so much that you wouldn’t cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn’t say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you too, and each time you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me please understand, that an angel came and called my name. The angel took me by my hand, and said my place was ready, in heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind; all those I dearly love.But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at home; and God Himself smiled at me, from His Great White Throne, and said Well Done thy good and faithful servant enter into thy Master’s Joy where everyday is howdy howdy and never goodbye, where everyday is Sunday and the sabbath has no end. And just for a moment Brother Henry Banks said what about my family that I leave behind, and the spirit told him to say this to the family, When tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart. Brother Henry Banks is gone to a better place and he was ready, And the 2 Timothy text says in verse

6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Listen to the tint tone and timbre in the text. The Apostle Paul the writer of the text says that he was ready and I submit to you today that Brother Banks was ready also Listen to the language “I’m ready to be offered up one day and the time of my departure is at hand”. Listen to me Everybody in here has to be offered up some day. And Everybody in here has a departure date. The word OFFERED in the Greek vernacular is the word SPENDO it means to “I poured!!! I poured out my life on the altar to Jesus Christ. Saints of God we have to live in such a way that we can be offered up. I know this Because Romans 12:1 says I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Brothers and sisters we’ve got to be ready to be offered up. and saints with every member of my body I offer up myself to Jesus Christ

1. with my eyes I offer up myself because Psalm 121 :1 says i will life mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help because my help comes from the Lord.

2 with my mouth I offer up myself because Romans 10:9-10 that if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raise him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

3. with my ears I offer up myself Romans 10:17 says so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God

4. with my mind I offer myself because Philippians 2:5 says Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

5. with my heart I offer myself up because Matthew 5:8 says Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Brother Banks’ Heart was right and your heart has got to be right to see God!

The text says in 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Brother Henry Banks Fought the good fight of faith And he finished his course. The word Finished 3x in the Greek vernacular is the word TELEO and it means complete, final, and most importantly Paid IN FULL!!! Man can you imagine that all your debts are paid in full..... That’s a shouting moment because Brother Henry Banks’ sin debts have been paid in full and The Lord Himself wiped the slate clean and took him to the land of no more, no ,more aches and pains, no more discomforts and disappointments, no more heart trouble no more kidney trouble, no more diabetes, not more high blood, no more cancer, no more corona virus, and no more trouble from this world. Brother Banks said Rev I kept the faith.... I gave Brother Banks his last communion and he was so eager to participate in the communion sacraments. The last supper the Lord supper the Eucharist, the Mass, the Love Feast or Holy Communion of God, which ever name you call it, Brother Banks was pleased with it. Brother Henry Banks’ spirit while taking the Holy Sacraments was a state of being pious.

Then the text Turns and takes another direction and says Henceforth,Meaning from now on the bible says there is a crown of righteousness laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: Well it’s that day for Brother Henry Banks Yes sir 2x but don’t stop reading because the bible says that the Apostle Paul said not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. If you Love God you’re going to make in. Because if you love God you’re going to follow his commandments . If you love God you’re going to do unto other as you would want them to do to you. If you love God you’ll prepare yourself for that day. Brother Banks was prepared for this day. Because the word of God says That Jesus is going to prepare a place for us the kind of place that where He is we can be with Him forever in Eternal Bliss and Place called Paradise, A place called Heaven. And listen Saints of God heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. We won’t get there any old kind of way.We have to live to the Glory of God.

Well I’ve held y’all long enough um um yes Brother Henry Banks was a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ. I Heard him saying “I’m on the Battlefield for my Lord and I promised Him that I would serve Him until I die. um um

Yes And On the other day Brother Henry Banks transitioned to become a citizen of another world Um Um Where no traveler ever born can return. Great God

and I imagine in my mind that tah the Angel came in his sick room And saying Soldier! Attention!! It’s time to go home. Your battle has been fought and your victory has been won because Jesus done sign your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

And the angel of the Lord said Henry try on these Golden slipper made just for you. And I know you’re a tall man but we’ve got a long white robe design to fit you. Oh Lord

and Henry put this starry crown on your head because the Lord saw the work you did,

and Henry turn around and try on these new wings Long and light weight so we can fly out of here. And I heard Brother Henry Banks saying Some glad Morning !!! When this Life is over I’m going to get my wings and 5th Fly Away, 7th Fly Away, 8th Fly Away and be at rest.

I heard him saying I’m going where the wicked shall cease from troubling and the wearied shall be at rest .

!!! I’m going home to be with the Lord where everyday will howdy howdy and never goodbye.

I’m going where the sun is always shining because the Glory of God Light up the Place. and the Streets are paved with Gold
