Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”
Matthew 12:43–45 “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”
What was it that went out of a man? unclean spirit
What was the condition of the house?
empty
swept
garnished (put in order)
How many spirits came out with the first? seven other more evil than himself
What was the state of the man after they came back? worse than the first state

Three Types Of Sin:

Commission - 1 Johne3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
Omission - James 4:17 “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
Doubt - Romans 14:23 “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

Sin Happens When Someone Gives In To Temptation

James 1:14-15 “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
Suppose a man had all their passions hunger for, their eyes covet, and their pride demands but lost their soul. Would it benefit them?

To Be Free From Sin

Repent -
Luke 9:23-24 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”
I cannot live the life you have for me without you.
Jesus isn't self help. Eternal life is having Him first.
1 John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” John 17:17; John 15:3; Ephesians 5:26
Take authority over the spirit - Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
Don't give them any room. Snake as pet until it suffocated a baby.
Guard your heart. Fill yourself with the Word.
Crucify the flesh
Colossians 3:5-7 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.”
What does Paul say, mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth.
What does mortify mean? put to death
1 Peter 4:1 “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;”
Who hath ceased from sin? he that suffered in the flesh
Romans 6:7 “For he that is dead is freed from sin.”
Who has been freed from sin? he that is dead
