Ephesians 4:1-6
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Membership is a covenant. This is a covenant where we say, “I’m all in.” I’m part of this body. I’d like to ask you a few questions in which I would like you to respond in the affirmative. 1.Have you given your life to Jesus Christ and asked Him to be your Lord and Saviour? 2. Will you commit to living a Godly lifestyle? Will you commit to worshipping regularly with other believers? 2. Do you feel led by God’s Spirit to call LifePoint church home? Do you commit to living it out by caring for others in the church family, supporting our leaders in prayer, attitude, and encouragement, and working together to see God exalted in our church? 3. Will you commit to praying regularly for our church’s unity, ministry, and outreach? Will you invite others to attend and warmly welcome those who visit? Do you commit to regularly supporting our church financially in tithes and offerings? 4. Do you commit to keep seeking to grow in your faith in God and in your relationships with others in LPC? “Your local church is a gift to you, a place of ministry and growth. You are a gift to your local church — in service, faithfulness, and spiritual support.” (Larry Griswold)
