Rejoice that John reunited with Christ.
Rejoice that John reunited with Christ.
Rejoice for John had hope
With the passing of John Williams we are left to reflect over his life. But we know that over his life he knew and was known by the Lord. That when we are gathered here that this is a celebration for the life of John Williams.
one story that I heard about John was that he had a heart attack about ten years back and that it was uncertian of the uncome from a surgery. But that he pulled through and he was perfectly fine, excellent recovery that he did not have another surgery becuase of the inital problem down the line and that it gave him another ten years.
John’s life was a blessing and we are thankful for the time that God had bless him with that he used to bless others, his family, his friends and even those who saw him here at church leading us in worship.
Altough we miss him we know that he is with Christ, in a place that is just perfect and peaceful. In a play without sin and with out Sickness,
No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill”;
and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.
Knowing that John is now in a place where he is no longer sick, but rather that he has a new creation in Heaven where there Joy for he is now with Christ.
Oh what joy it will be together in a place where there is no sickness and where Sin is forgiven. A place where every tear will be wiped away,
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
There is this perfect place that calls to us just as it did to John. Through we miss and mourn for the passing we must know that being with Christ is more peaceful and joyful then we know here on earth.
Even through what this life brings for us we can look forward to life with Christ and the hope that is a future that he offers us.
We are inspired by his life
We are thankful for the life he had, for it was a blessing from God, for there is a time and season for everthing, Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
We must know that seasons come and go, but there is one thing that gives us peace in the coming and going of the seasons.
John choose to follow Jesus and altough I had never met him personally I have been able to see his faith placed in Jesus shown through the people who he spent time with.
I was listening to a story about someone that came to sing with John and even through weakness they sang hymns and prayed together. His life was something that inspired us all to grow in our faith.
If you aspired to be like John would want to know the secert that his life was reflecting the life of Christ, in the things he did and the way he lived.
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
John had peace of Christ in some of the hardest parts of life. Christ was his cornerstone and his refudge. If you want to live a life like John, you will find out that he was only strong becuase of his trust in Christ.
When we trust in Christ through our hardest momments that is where we find peace, that is where we are steadfast. It’s never our own abilities, or how we handle or process the events of our life, but it is actually Christ who moves us and builds us becuase of our Trust in him.
Rejoice for his hope is here
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?””
If you want the same hope, place it in Jesus. He is the one who offers peace that succeeds any heartbreak.
If you want to be steadfast, place your turst in Jesus, he is the one who will make you steadfast in the time of waviering and shaking.
If you want a life, or where even inspired by the life of John Williams, look to Christ, becuase he is the ressuerction and the life. The whole package that lead a man through his life and was worthy of all his trust.
Christ is the hope in momments like this, where nothing seems fair or right. Christ and his works of hope, are what we trust in. For if we put our faith in him, if we put our trust in him they he gives life everlasting, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
So, do not be troubled for what this life maybe, but trust that the God of all creation, the God who gives perfect and free love to all of his children is for you.
