Cultural Pride

EX: man saying, “don’t mess with me cuz’ Im from SOUTH TEXAS!”

Matthew 3:9 “And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.”

Touguean Man telling me that no where else do they shut down everything on Sunday.

Intellectual Pride

We are at a place in society in which we think if you don’t belief in “science” (Darwins theory of evolution) then you are uneducated, intellectually challenged, or your reject intelligence.

“Your intellect will only take you so far.”

1 corinthians 1:21 “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.”

The Gospel is not a intellectual accent

1 Corinthians 1:25 “For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”
