Don’t Let What Change Me?
Don’t Let What Change Me?
I can help you if you let me -
When you are in a relationship, you realize that it takes both sides to ensure that the relationship remains in good standing. God has already given us a Guarantee, and have instructed us to not be pulled away from it!
So why do we have these moments of a fallen countenance?
Well, it is primarily because we have been programmed to believe that only the natural things, those things that we can see, are things that are true and real . . . but The Bible declares that; “The Just shall live by faith. . .” “We walk by faith, not by sight. . .”
Sin is enmity with God!
Sin causes us to thinking outside of That Mind That Was In Christ Jesus
Our primary reason we allow those things we deal with in this flesh to change us, and cause us to be in a state of unrest, is because we allow our own thinking to out-weight The Promises of God!
If God Said It; You Can Rest On It!
Sin is not relegated to heinous things we see in the natural; sin is anything that keeps you from God!
Sin - Is not just the what, it is also pertains to the why - Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Being that we have been programmed to determine the “what” more than the “why,” we focus primarily on what we see, what our minds causes our heart to believe; so, it behooves us to always seek God’s Way, not ours! Because if we continue in our way, we will continue to see things outside of His Will; which is what sin truly is!
Sin, to broad to define into one definition, which is why I believe The Bible declares that “Sin is sin in the eyes of God!”
The difficulty to changing the thought of what sin is, is contributed primarily to our surrendering to His Will and not ours - Jesus said; “Matthew 16:24 “24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
As we were discussing Bible Study the other night, Sister Huggins asked the question; “Was Cain not following the instructions. . .?”
The Bible does not directly tell us this, but we can interpret that, yes, Cain obviously mishandled the sacrifice on this occasion!
And because He allowed his own thoughts to change him, it birth into sin, and he killed his brother!
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
I said this Wednesday; “Our greatest threat is not the enemy, it is our own conscience and heart. . .”
We have been given The Greatest opportunity, and we must, at all cost, cast down anything that attempts to rise above the knowledge of The Promise!
God says to Cain; Genesis 4:7 “7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
We allow the law to speak louder than The Promise, and The Word of God!
God instructed them to not put anything before Me; nor attempt to make Me into an image!
God cannot be contained to just an image of my desire; He is Too Great for that!
The Law attempted to box God in, so He had to show us that religion is not greater than His Word or Promises! Isaiah 59:1-2 “1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”
It is not because He cannot hear, it is because you have allowed the sin to cause you to believe the lie that He cannot hear. . . .
Before Christ, you were relegated to The Law, which promoted your sin; which causes you to not agree with God on His Thoughts that He thinks towards you!
The world systems have given us what to think, as it pertains to sin, and we have allowed that to determine how everything should be aligned, according to the world systems.
Sin is sin in the Eye Of The Lord
We have been program to categorize sin from the natural perspective; religiously speaking, sin was define as what the religion defined it is.
I have a problem with that because it can include things relative to our own desires and thoughts, in order for us to justify keeping people in bondage, and to keep their own ways from being exposed!
Romans 1:21-23 “21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”
The very broad concept of sin is not living up to the expectations of The Law! Romans 3:19-20 (NKJV)
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
This law instituted based on the thoughts of man, was geared towards keeping those who were under it, bound by their own understanding!
The law would allow those who were staunch proponents of it; be free to keep their sinful intent covered, because no one could see their hearts - Jeremiah 17:9 “9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?”
There is a reason I am always preaching to you to not allow your heart to be troubled, because your heart will deceive you in some things.
This is why I believe that we must be diligently seeking Him; The Bible says in Hebrews 10:18-22
18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. 19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
An evil conscience; remember what I said before; “Our greatest threat is not the enemy outside of us, but the enemy on the inside of us; our own conscience and heart. . .”
Proverbs 15:13 “13 A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.”
God instructed Cain to rule over the sin that lies at the door - instead, he allow his heart to remain convinced that he is separated from God which birth the very thing he thought about doing; killing his brother because he was angry!
Don’t Let It Change You! What is the “It”? I am so glad you asked; the it is that very thing you focused on the most and becomes your god!
The it is that lie the enemy told you! The it is that thing someone said about you or to you, that you dwell on and allow to keep you up at night!
The “It” is that thinking you allow to keep you in a place of pity, a place of bondage, a place of unhappiness!
Misery loves company, but God has given you authority to rule over it!
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Yes, I realize that it is difficult at times; I understand how we may feel at times, but I Thank God for The New! I remember that no more because this is a New Day with New Mercy!
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The Bible instructs us to look unto The Author and The Finisher - His Name is Christ Jesus, He Is The Anointed One, He Rules Everything, He Provided The Promise Thru The Holy Spirit Who Lives In You, Thus You Rule Over Everything!
Don’t Let It Change You - Before & After - I am that I am - The Holy Spirit has washed me, and made me brand new, so I rest in His Promises!
