Theme: Experiencing the love & glory of God are what makes believers live “Beyond Rome”. They are 2 things the world does not have but are invited to have. In verses 8-10, Paul says practice this love as Christians because you are Christians. It’s what Christians do. And in verses 11-14, Paul says don’t practice what you once were — don’t go back — but wake up to who and where you are as the people of God.
