Healing is one of the most amazing gifts that God has given us. It is a sign that He is with us and loves us. When we are sick, it is natural to want to be healed. We may pray for healing, or go to doctors in an attempt to get well again. What does the Bible tell us about how we can prepare for healing?

5 Principles that need to be present for God to heal

....unless God chooses otherwise

traditional pentecostal healing movement came to the conclusion that these conditions need to be met for God to move
Now today we going to look at it from the perspective of the person God is using to do the healing
Next time we will look at the perspective of the one who needs the healing

1) lack Faith

Matthew 9:22 NASB95
But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well.
Matthew 9:29 NASB95
Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.”
Matthew 21:21 NASB95
And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.
Mark 11:21–24 NASB95
Being reminded, Peter said to Him, “Rabbi, look, the fig tree which You cursed has withered.” And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
Hebrews 11:6 NASB95
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

2) Unrepentant sin

All sickness and disease is rooted in sin
there was no sickness and disease in the garden before the fall
Genesis 3:17–18 NASB95
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field;
Mark 2:5 NASB95
And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
guilt of sin can lead to physical sickness

3) Some people have more of an annointing for healing

1 Corinthians 12:28–31 NASB95
And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.
History of healers
Everyone can pray for healing, but some will see greater results

4) Feeling the annointing

Luke 8:46 NASB95
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.”
Colossians 1:29 NASB95
For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.

5) Moved with compassion

Luke 7:13 NASB95
When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, “Do not weep.”
Matthew 9:36 NASB95
Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 20:34 NASB95
Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him.
motivation needs to be focused on the one needing healing
not on the fame or nortoriaty
motivated by love

Bonus You pray they receive

A time to pray and a time to receive
have them pay attention to what God is doing
