Ex. 34:6,7 NIV. What if I read the scripture ltered through God’s description of himself in Ex.
34: 6,7?
Ex. 4: 14 NIV The rst instance describing God being angry. What do you notice?
Time line considerations:
• The Old Testament time line from Mose’s birth (approx. 1526 B.C.) to the last prophet Malachi
(440-430) is over a 1000 year period.
• Jeremiah’s ministry began in 626 B.C. and ended sometime after 586 B.C approximately 40
years.
• The New Testament from the start of Jesus’ ministry (approx. 30 A.D.) to John writing
Revelation (95/96 A.D.) covers 65 years.

We are not under God’s wrath because Jesus paid the debt, satisfying God’s love, mercy,
faithfulness, and justice. The cross is the place where God abounding love meets his truth and
justice and our relationship with him is restored.
