To begin with in the NCV of the Everyday Bible it teaches talks and tells us that there is Nobody like my God. God is Sovereign. What does that mean? One that exercises supreme authority within a limited sphere, An Arbiter, of the most exalted kind. One having generalized curative powers, unmitigated and having undisputed ascendancy. He’s paramount with supreme power.

The Lord Is Great
And Greatly to be Honored. I know we always say The Lord is Great and Greatly to be Praised, But when talking about the Sovereignty of God, it’s more about respect, Reverence, and Honor than about praying and praising.
Deuteronomy 4:32 Nothing like this has ever happened before! Look at the past, long before you were even born. Go all the way back to when God made humans on the earth, and look from one end of heaven to the other. Nothing like this has ever been heard of! 33 No other people have ever heard God speak from a fire and have still lived. But you have. 34 No other god has ever taken for himself one nation out of another. But the LORD your God did this for you in Egypt, right before your own eyes. He did it with tests, signs, miracles, war, and great sights, by his great power and strength.
35 He showed you things so you would know that the LORD is God, and there is no other God besides him. (That’s also a verse describing the Sovereignty of God). 36 He spoke to you from heaven to teach you. He showed you his great fire on earth, and you heard him speak from the fire. 37 Because the LORD loved your ancestors, he chose you, their descendants, and he brought you out of Egypt himself by his great strength. 38 He forced nations out of their land ahead of you, nations that were bigger and stronger than you were. The LORD did this so he could bring you into their land and give it to you as your own, and this land is yours today. ( Here’s our theme verse on the Sovereignty Of God)
39 Know and believe today that the LORD is God. He is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other god! 40 Obey his laws and commands that I am giving you today so that things will go well for you and your children. Then you will live a long time in the land that the LORD your God is giving to you forever.
In Deuteronomy 4:32 we find that
Everything that happens in this life, Everything I mean everything! my God is keenly aware of it,and either orchestrated it or allow it, but make no mistake about it God Knows about It.
God knew about every detail concerning the Israelites in biblical antiquity and God rehearses the story in many different passages of Old Testament Scripture. It a story God retells over and over generation to generation so we don’t forget the Sovereignty of God. And God knows about what you’re going through in 2022. God knows what you’re going through good or bad God knows it.up or down, in or out, rich or poor , thick or thin, pretty or ugly God knows about it all. And the Sovereignty of God teaches us that God demands our respect toward our Holy Awesome and all Powerful God.
If we read the 4th chapter of Deuteronomy Moses speaking to the Children of Israel saying Listen everybody, we have to listen to the laws and commands that the Word of God teaches us and God gives clear instructions that we are not to add to His word of take away from His word. Look at verse 2 in Deuteronomy 4 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you
The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Dt 4:1–2.
WE simply have to obey the commandments that the Lord your God give you this day. And anybody who doesn’t obey will be destroyed. Why is this so etched in stone? Because God is Sovereign. Sovereign means that God has full control over the events that happen in our lives. And then God brags about this in Deuteronomy 4:7 where he says Israel nobody other nation have a god that comes and sees about them when they are in trouble and no other nation have good teachings and commands like I’m giving y’all today..The word describes the Sovereignty
of God again through the events associated with Mount Sinai where God appeared in the form of fire. It’s where God spoke to Israel concerning Laws and to teach them to their children.
The text rehearse the events where they receive the ten commandments carved by the hand of God into two tablets of stone. God said keep my word. In other words even when you cross over the Jordan River I want my people to respect my word. Respect the Sovereignty of God.Honor the Sovereignty of God. Reverence the Sovereignty of God. In Modern times we must understand that the Sovereignty of God is still and integral part of our lives. God still requires us to give Him Reverent respect and honor. Because when you’re Sovereign you’re in charge and nothing and nobody is above you in your decision making process.Nobody is above God’s decision making process.
Then Moses had to confess that God was angry at him and that he would be allowed to go to the promised Land. That’s why I don’t try to grow a brain when it concerns God’s people. And let me help some young preacher right here. 9 God knew those people before you got there. And what make you steaming hot mad doesn’t even phase God at all . Why? It doesn’t phase God at all because he made them and knows all about them and the truth is that’s why God sent you to them.( When I learned that! that’s when I achieved a peace that passes all understanding) Listen preacher God sent you to teach and preach to them that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is still eternal Life. That’s why I preach and teach the truth and then they can exercise the right to free will.
But they can’t argue with the Book because the Book is always right!!! Brother Terry Jones said to me Rev we can’t argue with the book. We can disagree with you but we can’t argue with the book. So preachers that taught me that the more you know the book the more you right divide the truth of the book the more you study to show yourself approved unto God the Less anybody can argue or refute the word of God. Dr Floyd James of Chicago said Pastor shame on you if let somebody in your congregation know the bible better than you. You’re second in command. Jesus is first. and so you Dr’ Jeffery Friend taught us that you ought to know. Ought being a word of accountability.
And God says if you listen to me I have some benefits for you.
The benefits are that
