OK, so these last few weeks I have preached on Salvation, Baptism, Repentance, “all in” What’s next?

Do we even want to be a “successful Christian? We must first ask ourselves that. Am I up for EVERYTHING God has for me to do? To go where He wants us to go? To be courageous and brave as He instructs us. We read in:

Joshua 1:8 God told both Moses and Joshua these words: “8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

IN ALL YOU DO??????????? IN ALL WE DO? IN ALL I DO? REALLY GOD?

The Right Concept to do God’s will.

Philippians 4:7–9 “7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

A. A right concept, attitude, outlook precedes success in any endeavor. We must through God begin everything we are called or lead to do in the right “frame of mind and heart. It’s that simple.

B. “Possibility thinking” is necessary for the Christian. He must consider his difficulties, burdens, and problems as stepping stones and opportunities.

Philippians 4:12–14 “12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. 14 Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.”

Do we strive to achieve Reliable Conduct?

A. To be effective witnesses for God, we must set an example of good works. They are often more effective than good words.

Titus 2:6–8 “6 In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. 7 And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.”

B. To be good examples we must not only do good but we must be good. God looks on the heart. ARGGGGGGG

III. Are we striving to truly have Realistic Concern? Not some far fetched concern that you can never achieve but concern to help, take care of, be kind to others through Jesus?

Zechariah 7:8–10 8 Then this message came to Zechariah from the Lord: 9 “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. 10 Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other.”

A.Jesus Christ displayed compassion. He was concerned about the deepest needs of mankind. Jesus does not ask from us more than we can give.

B. We also need to be compassionate. We must help the needy, and pray for the sick and sinful. Do you list your prayer requests then keep a record of the prayers Jesus’answers? Try it this week. You will be encouraged when you see what Jesus is doing through your prayer life.

IV. God instructs Joshua to have Ready Courage...

Joshua 1:5–8 5 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. 6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Be with God the Father, obey, listen, do as He instructs and He will NEVER leave you! Are any of you up for this today? I sure am. AMEN

A. Courage is needed to work, warn, witness, and win. Christians need to be bold for God.

B. Courage comes through faith. God assures us of His help and presence as we work for Him.

V.Are you preparing your heart for God’s Royal Conques?

1 John 5:3–5 “3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

A. Victory is promised here and now to those who pray, work, and believe.

B. Futuristic victory is assured to the faithful, you and I. Jesus has promised to return and receive them unto Himself.

John 14:1–3 “1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”
